Democrat Eleanor Holmes-Norton has gone out of her way to insult Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. The far-left Democrat said recently:
"We're not sure this president is ever going to nominate another African-American to the court. [Barack Obama]'s African-American. We've got someone who proposes to be African-American on the court."
So, I guess in Holmes-Norton's world, the only way to be a true African-American is to be a far-Left Democrat? What she said is insulting, and it reflects the attitude of many on the Left. Justice Thomas has served with great distinction on the Supreme Court, and has stayed true to his principles and convictions, rather than conforming to the liberal party-line. That has nothing to do with his race, and everything to do with his character.

One of the stock forms on humor on the old “Amos & Andy” radio show was having someone misuse fancy words. Norton must be auditioning in case they ever revive the show.
The Arizona immigration law flap has convinced me that when you’re dealing with “progressive” Democrats, you’re dealing with irrational fanatics.
Clarence Thomas withstood the “high-tech lynching” that the Democrat Party attempted against him on national television before he was seated as a SCOTUS Justice.
He withstood discrimination before then, and Ms. Norton’s ignorant and shameful slur is just another example of the discrimination he withstands to this day, because he is an American black man rather than a hyphenated-American on the Democrat plantation.
