Fox Show 'Glee' Turning Liberal Now that it's Popular

The video below says that the popular Fox show, Glee, turned Left as soon as the show's popularity began its monumental rise. The question is, does the Liberal-bent of the show lead high schoolers down the Leftard road? Of course it does. The shock would be if we had talented, singing and dancing teenagers with a single conservative threat in their heads, because that just doesn't happen. ...

The cast of Glee is one of the best cast ensembles I’ve seen in a long time. Broadway trained actors meet Hollywood - it’s wonderful. I love the show and will have to disregard any liberal ramblings written in the scripts. The show is not to be missed.

Agreed. Sometimes it is ok to just watch a show for entertainment. FREEPERS try to ruin every show, movie, etc. That is about the only thing that drives me crazy.

I watched my first and last episode of Glee yesterday killing time till V came on. The show was unwatchable.

You can watch on the internet as well. The acting, singing and dancing is incredible. Most of the actors are stage trained actors who have succeeded on Broadway.

They do throw in some barbs, and it is obvious, not subtle, at all. So, at least they are not pretending. I watch the show, actually, just started. I watched 13 episodes in 2 days to catch up! Gloomy weekends are good for that! Regardless, it is a fun program and I don’t take it seriously.

Man, some people gotta chill - its outrageously funny, the singing and dancing are great, and that Sue Sylvester character [Cheerios Coach] is over-the-top ...

Take it for what its worth - not much, but it IS entertaining, even if I don’t agree with the liberal leanings ...

BTW: The show’s popularity has made it “cool” to be in music clubs in the high schools in my county. The kids in them are getting a lot of self-esteem, and thats a good thing ...

BUT, the kids ARE NOT assimilating the leanings and opinions from the show ...

I partially agree with you. Everyone has their breaking point. There are shows that I will watch no matter how many political digs they get in...but then there are others that are so irritating and self-righteous I just can’t stand it. Boston Legal comes to mind on that front. I can usually forgive comedies. 30 ROCK is my favorite show. They actually skewer everyone, more conservatives, but the show is so clever and funny that I just overlook the slant.

Many of us would just like to watch quality entertainment and like to do so.
But then as we are relaxed and watching; we see needless propaganda inserted that adds no value.
It is infuriating and didn't used to be done.

And we are asked to pay the bills for it.

I found it offensive that the writers lied to the (young) viewers that Sarah Palen was a cheerleader when in fact she was the star point guard on the basketball team.  Subtle but important point ... lying about her actual accomplishments and suggesting that because she's beautiful she could have only been a cheerleader.
