VANITY: I HATE Brusells Sprouts
Frozen Food or Produce Section | Yours Truly

Posted on 04/10/2010 5:57:19 PM PDT by Allegra

They're just all slimy and gross. I like most other veggies, but Brussells sprouts are disgusting.

Actually sauteed cabbage with sauteed slivers of carrots in extra extra extra virgin olive oil is pretty good.
Did I spell that all correctly, have had two glasses of Irish Whiskey!

Whats the secret to keeping it from steaming and ruint your seasoned pan?

Use someone else's pan!

Add a small amount of oil to your pan (just enough to cover the bottom) and place it in the oven while it is preheating. When oven hits the desired temp., take pan out and add cornbread mix. Then cook cornbread.

Potatoes is about as far as I am willing to put in the cast iron pans.

I use them every week and I would hate to have to reseason them.

Maybe it will, maybe it won’t!

I have two cast iron skillets that I use for corn bread, some days they stick, some days they don’t.

The hotter the oil, the less likely the stuff will stick.

Don’t be skeered . . . you can always wash & reseason your skillet.

No but they are coded.

One is cast with a bass on the line jumping out of the lake and the other has a hunting dog flushing birds.

Hey Slut - Your useless vanity just past the 250 mark. Just goes to show that folks like brussel sprouts a lot more than socks.

OK - Go buy a baby pan, just the right size for cornbread. If you mess it up it won’t much matter.
