Sara should have made a token appearance and then said “Adios, Juan”.

john mccain needs to be put out to pasture. the guy was burping mid sentence when he was talking the day Sarah stumped for him. Nothing wrong with a burp here and there publicly, but geez the guy is beyond ancient when it comes to attitude and archaic in progressive allegiance. He is the walking dead as far as I am concerned.

Lets be at lease fair with our criticism of endorsements....
Tancredo endorsed Romney
DeMint endorsed Romney
Hunter endorsed Huckabee
Thompson endorsed McCain
Gingrich endorsed Scozzafava
Pawlenty endorsed McCain

I think Sarah owed McCain something in return for him picking her to run as VP.
She may be making points with mainstream Republicans here, while losing points with conservatives.
But I look at it this way. If not for McCain picking her as his running mate, she would still be sitting in Alaska, obscure and fighting state fights. And the tea parties and conservatives would have no galvanizing spoksperson who commands media attention with even the smallest tweet or facebook posting.
McCain is pretty much on his own and Palin won’t have much effect on his campaign. In effect, she has fulfilled her obligation to John. I can let that slide because there is a bigger prize by keeping her, then keeping John.
My opinion.

"
2 - Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So, she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called "ACES". Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them "don't let the door hit you in the stern on your way out." They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar."
TRANSCRIPT: Sarah Palin's RNC Speechhttp://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2074322/posts
This was the spirit that brought me to the governors office when I took on the old politics as usual in Juneau, when I stood up to the special interests, and the lobbyists, and the Big Oil companies, and the good-old boys...When oil and gas prices went up dramatically and filled up the state treasury, I sent a large share of that revenue back where it belonged: directly to the people of Alaska. And despite fierce opposition from oil company lobbyists, who kind of liked things the way that they were, we broke their monopoly on power and resources. As governor, I insisted on competition and basic fairness to end their control of our state and return it to the people.

Sarah Palin Is Pro Amnesty For Illegal Aliens - Univision Interview [Old news, 2008] Diggers Realm ^ | October 24, 2008
Univision: Do you then favor an amnesty for the 12 or 13 million undocumented immigrants?
Sarah Palin: No, I do not. I do not. Not total amnesty. You know, people have got to follow the rules. They've got to follow the bar, and we have got to make sure that there is equal opportunity and those who are here legally should be first in line for services being provided and those opportunities that this great country provides.
Univision: To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?
Sarah Palin: I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.

So much needless obsession with Sarah Palin from those who support her and those who are against her. Both sides are wasting a lot of unnecessary energy. The energy is wasted because many on both sides assume that she is certainly going to be the Republican nominee in 2012, an assumption that is very premature (and stupid) on so many levels.

From the recent interview with Greta Van Susteren...
PALIN: "We don't want our Republican -- our senators and our representatives to hold hands with the Democrats if the Democrats are going to keep growing government. And why -- why engage in bipartisanship there if the Democrats are doing the wrong thing? We want our Republicans to stand tall, stand strong for smaller, smarter government, for those principles that so many independents and those in the Republican Party have believed in all these years. We want them to stick with those principles."

“Does Personal Loyalty Trump Conservatism?”
I believe many posters on this forum leave the impression that personal loyalty is not a conservative value. I don’t believe conservatives have enough cohesion.
Palin can’t depend only on conservatives, even if she is one. She can’t depend on them to stick with her as a cohesive group.

My prediction? McCain is going to take a stand against amnesty and will tell Lindsey Graham to drop it too. No doubt Sarah whispered in his ear about this. If McCain does continue to shill for illegals, then Sarah is dead to me, unless she comes out with a Facebook post criticizing it. Until then, I’m willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. Even Jim Robinson said he had no problem with Sarah endorsing McCain, and if it’s good enough for the Head FReeper, it’s good enough for me.

Regardless of what Sarah Palin does or says, it's up to the voters in Arizona to dump McCain. I hope they do.
There is an infinitely more important election coming along in just over six months. If the Democrats retain control, the country is finished. If Republicans take control and don't defund the Obama agenda the country is finished.
I would like to see Arizona dump McCain. In the end it's their choice, and it's but a pixel in the big picture.

does Mitt's endorsement of McCain ruin his chance of winning the nomination. If not neither does Palin’s.
find me a GOP candidate that has not endorsed McCain then maybe we will talk.

Ridiculous.
Sarah did what she was obligated to do. That simple. Personal promises mean something — even when you make them to a scoundrel. She acted with character and integrity, and her Conservative credentials should NOT be called into question. Doing so only hurts the whole of the Conservative movement...
