48 hours had not even passed after Congress approved ObamaCare before the negative impact of its provisions began kicking in.

Remember, the so-called 'benefits' of the program will not begin until 2014. But the fees, taxes, and other surcharges that are essential to the plan go into effect immediately.
This has led to some disturbing consequences just within the last 24 hours.
Karl Denninger via WRSA reported this:

Woa... Counties in California just got a memo from their association indicating that beginning in federal fiscal year 2014, all individuals with incomes at 133 percent of the federal poverty level or lower will be eligible for coverage under Medicaid. The federal government will cover the costs of benefits at 100 percent for the first three years, through 2016. That reimbursement rate will fall to 95% in 2017 and phase down to 90% in 2020 and thereafter. The state and local cost of administering the program, however, will continue to be reimbursed at the normal 50% federal match. (This means that the state and local governments will have to cough up the costs for administering the expanded Medicaid program.)
The federal bill will cover an estimated 32 million new individuals, another 23 million would remain uninsured in 2019.Approximately one-third of the remaining uninsured would be undocumented immigrants.(California’s uninsured population jumped to 8.2 million in 2009.)
That’s the “Kennedy fix.”
The swimmer determined that repeat visits were proved to be costly and needed to be “fixed.”
A critical negative impact not mentioned in the article is acceleration of layoffs. For the past two days, business owners having been calling in to a local afternoon radio show I listen to and discussing why they started laying off people in droves as of Monday morning. The increased costs from Obamacare pushed them over the edge. It’s no longer profitable for them to retain many of their employees. Let’s see how bad this gets in another three to six months. Current employment numbers might look like the good old days compared to what’s coming soon.
National Association for the advancement of Red Haired People??

Me too. Can't stand that organization.

On with November!
This cruel mess is going to get very ugly, very quickly.

They need love too!

It used to be 3 days. The last 4 times my Dad was in the hospital, he had to be readmitted within 24 hours. Why was he discharged to begin with? He had already been in the hospital longer than the case manager wanted.
This provision just proves one thing - you can’t cure stupid.
If it destroys the left then all the pain will be worth it. They need to be pushed into irrelevancy forever and all the better if they push themselves. If Odorkocare bombs immediately because of widespread outrage just think of it, all those who voted for it and all those who supported it without scrutiny (MSM) will suffer an incredible humiliation on par with their incredible arrogance and stupidity. It will be a sight to see.
If this is true, this is a colossal betrayal of the elderly of such magnitude the country will not stand for it (not even most Obots). This needs to be confirmed & then go VIRAL!
Pelosi: You need to pass the bill to find out what’s in it.
“This cruel mess is going to get very ugly, very quickly”
Good. The uglier the better until the 2010 elections. Let the American people understand just how much against our interests this crap is.
The dems are going to be out there talking about a bunch of good sounding stuff, and the media will be helping them. Examples like this demonstrate the true effects better than all the rhetoric by pubbies put together.
Just another shovel ready job...
If a pale red head goes crazy, is that called a...
ginger snap???
Typical government inefficiency. They completely missed the obvious. They could save a lot more money if they just denied care altogether.
I see nothing in these horror stories about abortion.
In other words: THESE horrors are what the Catholic bishops were in FAVOR of.
It’s not ObamaCare.
It’s TerriSchiavoCare.
Waxman!
I almost thought that some GOP managed to prank the bill, but I know of no Republican that callous.
