My father died in WWII and I find this uses of fascism as an ad hoenim attack and a pejorative demeaning to his death.
Well EFF you too!
“My father died in WWII and I find this uses of fascism as an ad hoenim attack and a pejorative demeaning to his death.”
HUH?
How do you feel about showing your papers as a US citizen (assuming you are) to get a job or the invasion of your country? Isn’t that what he fought against?
With all due respect, why would anyone on an internet board care what offends you?
No offense to you or your father, but fascism is fascism.
Yes, sometimes these terms are used too “loosely” but sometimes not. I bet your father would not be to happy about seeing his country overrun by illegal aliens.
If this National ID is enacted, we will have a repeat of WWII. Would you could ask your father what “paperien, bitte” meant to him ... and why he was glad to die to prevent those words from being spoken to you here.
If the critcism is accurate, it is not ‘ad hominem’ by definition.
Sorry for your loss but your Dad would have recognized national ID requirements as a foundation of a police-state.
