TWO DIFFERENT DLN NUMBERS AND DATE STAMP INCONSISTENT WITH CONTEMPORANEOUS SS REGISTRATIONS

According to The Sonoran News, when two people requested Obama’s Selective Service registration through the Freedom of Information Act, each received a computer printout with different information.
In a televised interview with George Stephanopoulos on September 7, 2008, Obama stated, “I had to sign up for Selective Service when I graduated from high school…in 1979.” However, the requirement to register with the Selective Service had been suspended in 1975 and was not reinstated until 1980....

New Federal LAW:

ABSOLUTELY ALL PERSONAL DATA MUST BE RELEASED BY ALL CANDIDATES FOR FEDERAL OFFICE PRIOR TO FILING FOR SAID OFFICE.

There probably already is such a law. But lawyers can, and do, change whatever they want.

If he actually registered, I can allow a year off for when he signed up

It’s whether he actually signed up or not.

Yeah me too but I think I did register anyway just to avoid any hassle with colleges.

The reason the usurper didn’t register is because he didn’t have to when you are a British, Kenyan, Indonesian or Canadian citizen. Then OOOPS I’m supposed to be an American.

When I tried to join the army, they wouldn’t let me unless I had a draft card.(kind of weird)At anyrate I signed up and got one. A couple of years later I was sitting on the barracks steps with some pals, drinking beer, smoking cigarettes, and badmouthing our country. We decided to burn our draft cards, and did.

When people speak in conversation they are often inexact. He said he had to register with the selective service when he GRADUATED IN 1979. He could have meant AFTER HE GRADUATED IN 1979 or he spoke what’s called a misplaced modifier. Karen: “I went over to talk to Mary after I heard about the accident.” If the question is what date did Karen speak to Mary in some connection with the accident, more information is needed because we don’t know when Karen heard about the accident and we don’t know how long Karen waited to go speak to Mary. Similarly, we don’t know from zero’s statement how much time he claims passed from the time he graduated until he had to register. If he did in fact register, he may have connected the event as occurring after graduation, which would be accurate even though it didn’t take place upon graduation. He graduated at 17, turned 18 two months later and would still have been 18 when he allegedly registered. Since we think of most young men registering at 18, that may have him thinking the registration was closer in time to graduation than it was, if in fact it happened.

This also ostensibly occurred 30+ years ago, so misremembering the date by a year, especially if it was still close in time to his graduation, say, a year or less, and he was in the age group that had to register in 1980, it would not be unusual for somebody to be off by a year. When my old friends and I talk about some event thirty years ago, even though they were memorable events, we often have small arguments about when something happened because we connect it to additional events such as what apartment one or the other of us was living in at the time, or one’s brother had just gotten out of the marines (but really it was a year after he got out of the marines), or what car we were in and when that car was owned, etc.. So there are often humorous disputes about when something occurred (a trip we took or something very memorable that happened at a party, for example). Memories are not exact and we connect events to other events that may not have been as contemporaneous as we remember them as being.

I’m not defending him and I’m not saying he’s not lying. What I AM saying is that people should remain objective, examine the possibilities and use common sense when evaluating these things before ginning up yet another conspiracy theory.

He didn’t enter first grade until he was 7???? I was 5.

He was born 8/61 so he would turn 18 in 8/79, so he would have graduated just before his 18th birthday, 6/79. He stated he graduated in 1979. I don’t know one person who can’t remember what year they graduated high school. So I doubt he graduated in 1980. He either thinks he registered closer in time to his graduation than was actually the case, or his poorly or misstated what he intended to say, or he’s lying.

This is baloney. My son was born 6-19-61, about 4 months earlier than BO. He registered on his birthday in 1979, — taking time off his summer job to do so. The law was in place. The following year he got a letter saying he had not registered. He was irate, so he went down and showed them his number.

Speaking of the SS. The SS public service announcement used to air several times a month on local (Sacramento) radio. Now I am hearing a variety of SS PSAs several times a day.

I wonder, is Obama planning on drafting his domestic army? /half kidding.

Yes, it’s still mandatory. You can object to the draft itself if inacted and you are drafted, but you still have to register.

My son is the same age, and he entered 1st grade in 1967, age 6.

According to the scanned SS card he did not register for almost a year AFTER he turned 18. Just curious why the date BHO wrote is different from the government stamp date.

I thought the KGB was better than this? No wonder they lost the cold war.

BO/BS is lying. I distinctly remember having to register in 1980 since I was the first year eligible and I’m a year older than the usurper. “

You nailed it, the same is true for me.

LOL!

Bottom line: We don’t have enough information to determine what happened. We just have more stuff to construe as suspicious depending on how much a believer one is in the government’s ability to be accurate and consistent in its record-keeping. My confidence in them is nearly non-existent, so I don’t put much stock in what little we have at this point as evidence of fraudulent documentation.

He could have clarified his comment any time after making his initial statement. I'm not buying it given his track record for repeated contradictions and lies.

Well, n00b, the USPS stamp shown in the obamao weblinks is a dead giveaway that the obama campaign posted info is fraudulent.

I registered two years after graduating from high school but didn't forget. Maybe it's just me but that is too important moment in a person's life to claim he registered in 1979.

He may not have realized there was a problem with his statement. Maybe nobody’s pointed it out to him. Don’t let your bias allow you to make an ass out of yourself. Get the facts first, and keep in mind that government records ain’t all they’re cracked up to be.

Make 100% you are dead-bang right. Not going off half-cocked stemming from bias and emotion and then getting shut down by a perfectly logical explanation makes your position stronger than taking a position derived from spoken statements that may be innocently inexact.

I’m just saying get your ducks in a row and don’t let your bias drive your opinion.

BS, you don't forget registering for the military. For most patriotic Americans, its one of the proudest days in their lives.
