Sources within NBC News have confirmed that things are more dire than we originally thought. Veteran correspondents are cringing and are openly embarrassed by Olbermann's self-absorbed theatrics.
Please keep in mind that nobody - nobody at all - is saying that Keith may not actually be concerned for his father or that there is not a genuine health issue. However, some are suggesting that his bizarre reactions are really symptoms of a much more troubling mental issue for a guy allegedly once accused of stalking multiple women.
The latest in this spectacle is the bizarre roof-top special comment that appeared on Monday's Countdown.

What Keith doesn’t seem to get is that under Obamacare his father would have received NONE of the services that Olby was so happy he had.
Most adults don’t have a breakdown when their parents are ill or even dying. This man has some other very real issues that this may be bringing out. Time to send Keithie off to the quite place with the dr’s in white coats?

For some unfortunate reason, I watched Olbermann’s first show and later I watched twice more. By the third time, it was really old hat with the “How dare you, sir” and “worst person in the wooorrlldd”. I can believe that he lasted so long with the same worn out stuff. He should be crying in shame for being a stupid big pussy.

Seeing Olby on top of that roof, I was hoping to see a live repeat of Bud Dwyer. I also noticed a previous article stating that Olby was skipping out on work due to his ill father. Funny how he was at death’s door a week or two ago and now is miraculously improving. How the hell is Tingle Matthews one of the more stable and rational anchors on MSNBC??? He looks normal compared to Olbermann, Sgt Schultz, Schuster, O’Donnell and Ratigan.

I’m beginning to suspect Olbermann may be exploiting the illness of his father to keep MSNBC from firing him over his low ratings. Imaging how Olbie would rant and rave if he got fired: “They fired me while I was caring for my dying father!!” He’s probably telling the doctors to keep pops alive as long as possible in order to keep his job. It is positively sickening to watch this lunatic exploit his father’s illnes for his own political and career purposes. No wonder his colleagues are finally admitting they’re ashamed to be associated with him.
Note that Olbie has now admitted the existence of Death Panels by renaming them “Life Panels”.
