I’m sure this will make John Ziegler very jealous.

Nah, it’s pretty standard Leno tactic. Mock someone mercilessly in the monologue, then kiss their butt when they’re on the show.

BTW, I would bet money that the ill-fated Jay Leno show captured their highest ratings ever when they had Rush Limbaugh as a guest. Or at the least, I’ll bet it was in the top 10.

Smart move by Leno in picking Palin, but I’ll still pass. Even the thought of tuning in to Leno again at 11:35 is boring.

Many have appeared on Leno.
Few ever even run for President!
I am all in for Palin, but this article is kind of stupid, isn't it?

So what did Letterman do?
Booked Mitt Romeney for the same night Governor Palin is on Jay Leno....

Leno has to make a splash to draw an audience - there is no one in America who can draw a crowd like Sarah.

It’s a win/win.
They both hate Letterman.

...not only help to re-launch Jay Leno's second stint as The Tonight Show host but will serve as an example for other conservatives and those leaders in the Tea Party Patriot movement that late night can be a welcome home for its supporters and viewers.
Letterman will no longer just talk about his affairs, he will actually consummate one instead of performing his opening monologue.

... booking of Sarah Palin on The Tonight Show in such a high visibility slot only gives credence and support for a possible positioning of a run for the presidency in 2012 ... Yep. Without Leno, no one would take Governor Sarah Palin seriously as a candidate. If she wins, it will only be because of Leno's help.

Did Jay Leno go rogue in picking Sarah Palin as Tonight Show guest? Only a few more days and we'll know; won't we...
