thanks for your service sir!
R.I.P., Gen. Haig, you helped keep us free.
I shall remind myself all day today, and for days to come, to stand up a little straighter, and walk a little taller in honor of a departed soldier’s soldier. Well done, General.
Fox & Friends was talking with Karl Rove this morning when the news about Haig’s death broke—Rove had some interesting comments on Haig (whom he first met when he was 21 or 22). Kept repeating the point that it is very unusual for one person to serve three Presidents (Nixon, Ford, and Reagan).
Shortly after he got his Bird and command of a Brigade in the First Inf Div I arrived and was assigned to the 1/26th Inf, the Bn he commanded as a LTC......I assure you that he was well-respected by all who served with him.....here’s a bit of history with a bunch about his service while commanding the 1/26th......March 31/Apr31st 1967 was the most notorious engagement that was still talked about when I arrived in July, but if it is in this publication I haven’t read far enough yet to find it....in the midst of another good one his chopper got hit and came down hard.....

America is just a little bit less today now without him, even though it is more for having had him.
RIP!
RIP, sir. The press hated you. That alone says so much.
