My insurance company has denied coverage for one of my meds. I am appealing the denial, but in the meantime, I need this medicine. I already priced the drug locallly -- about $200 for a 3-month supply without insurance coverage. Does anyone here use Canadian pharmacies for their prescriptions; if so, can you recommend one to me? If you have had bad experiences with Canadian pharmacies, I'd like to know about that too.
Thank you in advance, everyone!
Never hold the meds.
Never carry inventory.
Act as an order taker, only.
Use the Canadian and U.S. Postal Service.
Not saying it is perfectly legal, or legal at all, I am only saying that, so far, the government tends to leave you alone if you operate this way.
That big red warning from the FDA might be related to Obamacare. In addition to the Louisiana Purchase and the Cornhusker Kickback, one of the earlier acts of banditry on the part of Zero and his minions was a deal with BigPharma to stop allowing importation of cheap Canadian drugs if they refrained from opposing the ‘rats health care takeover.
Also try Costco’s web site. They are the only place where they list the prices of all their drugs online. You do not have to be a member to fill a prescription. If there is a local costco just walk up and say you have a prescription. By law they cannot require a membership for drugs.
Their prices are pretty good but not great. How about Target?
I wonder if this is a new enforcement policy. I'll await with interest my next order. In my case, I could always as a last resort buy prescription meds in Canada, since I am there four or five times a year and purchases for personal use are allowed.
I'm not in your shoes, so I can't say I'd act differently if I were; I hope you didn't take my comment as being personally judgmental. Hopefully your insurance company will change their minds.
Why don’t you at least provide the name of the drug, preferably the generic name, so some could provide a little information for you. There are a lot of knowledgeable people here that could, with the drug name, possibly give some great advice.
I can guarantee you that in most cases, ill health is NOT from a deficiency of some pharmaceutical drug. Do some research on natural health and learn how to take charge of your own body and health. But asking for advice without providing any pertinent information for anyone to base their advice on is really sorta... well, stupid.
So, WHAT IS THE DRUG you are trying to acquire? Legally or illegally.
It's not a matter of product safety, it's a matter of politics.
I sure wouldn't risk a lot of money I couldn't afford to lose if they block a shipment.
Without my meds I'd be bedridden and hooked to an oxygen tube.
No offense taken. Thank you.
Please see your freepmail. :)
As a Canadian who lives in the States, with many Canadian relatives living in the Toronto area, I can assure you that getting drugs from a Canadian pharmacy is fine. They have essentially the same drugs as the U.S. (sometimes under other names). They may have more generics. You can go to a store like Shoppers Drug Mart — it is like CVS. It is a very modern country and the standards are similar to standards in the U.S. I don’t know about using websites that claim to sell drugs at Canadian prices—I would be loath to trust them. Good luck.
