Obama’s minders have a bit of a problem. Thus, they ran back to David Plouffe, his 2008 campaign manager who will increase his role in the Obama administration. Recall that after the Brown victory, Obama went back on the campaign trail in Ohio, looking and sounding dreadful.

As the Obama presidency disintegrates, the president turns to his Chicago political team, rather than find advisers who have some acquaintance with governing. Especially revealing was the return of Plouffe; the Narcissist in Chief’s best guess as to how to recover from a protracted concatenation of very public narcissistic wounds is to ramp up his marketing strategy.
