Here is video of Democrat Rep. Alan Grayson on with Ed Schultz last night where he said President Obama has "gone too far" in reaching out to Republicans. Grayson was reacting to Obama's appearance before the House Republican Conference meeting in Baltimore yesterday.
Grayson and Schultz talked as if the Democrats and Obama "have been held hostage" by Republicans over the past year! How ludicrous is that?
Democrats have had a filibuster-proof majority in the U.S. Senate (until this month), and a huge majority in the House, as well as Obama in the White House. They could have literally done anything they wanted to do in this first year of Obama's Presidency.
But their policies are so radical, they have felt the heat from the American People - not the Republicans - which has kept them from having the courage of their Leftist convictions to press forward with their Government Takeover of Health Care, and the disastrous Cap and Trade legislation inspired by their religion-like devotion to Global Warming hysteria. The bottom line is that enough of the Blue Dog Democrats have feared the people sufficiently that the votes have just not been there to rapidly push the full agenda through. They got the spending bills early by telling Americans it had to happen to prevent higher unemployment. But as they year pressed on, a skeptical public began to stop believing what people like Alan Grayson were saying.
Even Obama's appearance before GOP House members yesterday was window-dressing. Obama does not have a bipartisan bone in his body. The only thing he and the Democrats have reached out to Republicans is a fist or a lecturing pointed finger. . . . (VIDEO)
