As of 9:08 pm, Republican Scott Brown is winning bellweather towns of Gardner and Fitchburg. These towns have similar voter makeup to the rest of the state and were within one point of the result 2006 Senate race. Brown is also winning the majority of the towns on Cape Cod, historically a Democratic stronghold and the home of former Sen. Ted Kennedy.
Many towns that Obama won easily in 2008 are also going to Brown. The North Shore town of Salisbury went 54-45 for Obama; with 100% reporting, 64-35 Brown. Western Massachusetts towns historically a Democratic stronghold that Obama won handily (75%) are going 60-65% for Coakley.
Majority of Worcester, Boston not reporting yet. But general trend of towns compared to 2008 presidential results indicates low turnout for Martha Coakley. Likely win for Scott Brown.

yay.
Now there are 41.
Zero is now less than Zero to America.
Never trust a source that can’t spell “bellwether.”
This is not the change I was talking about!
60% of the votes in 52 Brown 47 Coakley according to Fox.
CBS has predicted victories with 3 percent of the vote in or less.
I think we can crack open the plastic package with the party hats now!
Happy Days are here again.
WTKK FM 96.9 is reporting Coakley just called to concede to Brown. Anyone else hear that????
I’m curious to know how Leonminster ends up. Of course, it’s not Fitchburg, but why would they want to be? ;)
BTW, there is a poll on CNN right now was to whether this election is a referendum on healthcare.
Winning at 68%;
Check it out.
FUBO!!
@pwire Democrats still hopeful that very high turnout in Boston could nudge Coakley ahead... // NEWSFLASH: it ain't happening
1 minute ago from web in reply to pwire Dracut, MA (near NH border): Brown needed 64%, got 70%
IMO, David Gergen turned this election upside down with his arrogant question to Scott Brown.
Mr. Brown picked up the gift and the rest is history.
This is not Kennedy’s seat, this is the people’s seat.
Excellent
Hey obama..fetch us some coffee!
Excellent
‘GREAT SCOTT!’ Drudge Headline!!!
I guess thats what happened to Martha when she could not spell her own state lol
