Nice pictures! I must say that as much as I hate snow there are few things as pretty as a fresh snowfall on a sunny day.

UK has been just buried this winter.

Those roads look totally un-plowed. I gather big snow removal equipment is lacking over there ?

The heavily trodden path to church is most impressive.

A problem website. I made some comments (all positive and uplifting) and was asked twice to moderate my comments.

Beautiful pics though. Stay warm sussex.

Lovely pictures, especially the church and the walking path. I wish we had walking paths in the US. I wonder, in Britain is it the law to shovel snow from walkways like it is here?

What breathtaking photos! I worked in the UK for almost 6 months a few years ago, and I still miss it - even miss all the ‘heat’ I took for wearing my brand-new Barbour jacket.

Most northern New England states in the U.S. are well prepared for snow with salting, sand, snowplows, front loaders and dump trucks. So,it’s business as usual esp. when snow falls from a lake-effect snow of Lake Champlain. In Burlington over this past week&weekend snowfall registered 33inches in most places.

You are right about the lack of preparation but, since we only get a heavy snowfall once every ten winters it’s not cost effective to invest in snow clearing plant - but I do accept that your regulation that individual property holders should be responsible for clearing snow from outside their properties is a good idea - that’s also the law in Germany.
