The GOP needs an attack dog like Dean or McCauliffe were dor the DNC. Not a lap dog like Steele.

I agree - but remember GOP leadership elected this guy, and they are still backing him - so the problem is bigger than just Steele - IMHO

Steele is just playing the Moderate Republican game again. Pretend the Conservatives are going to be involved in the GOP and then once the party floods itself with moderates throw the conservatives under the bus again.

I say let him stay.

Support local fiscal conservatives in elections and let the rebirth of conservationism from the grassroots folks eventually overwhelm the National GOP and it’s leaders.

Even conservative hero Haley Barbour, past RNC chairman, was talking RINO on TV yesterday. "GOP must be big tent party", on and on. We all know the pitch.

Sickening.

Our only salvation is that DNC Chair Tim Kaine is also an idiot. Maybe even a bigger idiot. But at least he’s a purely liberal idior, not a squishy “moderate” idiot

I say hire Ari Fleischer and UNLEASH him! By that I mean, when he was under leash as press sec’y, he was pretty ordinary; but here these past few months, I have not seen his equal in flushing libtard talkers into the toilet. I think he has what it takes.

This I know: Steele is a poison pill for us.

If the guy is saying he’s unsure of winning in 2010, have him pack his things today.

Steele might’ve been a decent US Senator had he won in MD in 06. But after all these months at the top of the RNC, he’s just not the guy for that job. The effectiveness just isn’t there.

Steele is a DNC plant. No one could be less effective than he has been. Ignoring the Tea Party movement and supporting big tent RINOs is a recipe for disaster. I, like everyone else, have stopped sending money to the party and now support candidates directly.

Look for more subterfuge by conservative posers running for office and then making a big left turn once installed. Credentials matter, alliances matter, character matter and it's critical we do not allow the DNC to divide and distract the party further.
