Please check Google, Yahoo, and Bing today. Let's just say that I am getting away from the pro-Obama Google and Yahoo.

Google actually has a decent Veterans day logo. (amazing I know)

Soldier being saluted by a child.

I gave up on Google after they chose not to honor the victims of the 911 attacks, I haven't found an alternate that I like as much though...

Don’t see how Google’s is bad at all.

I was surprised that Google had anything at all. Their Memorial Day logo was a yellow ribbon (?) at the bottom of the page, with their standard logo.

I guess no one pointed out that Memorial Day was about remembering those who DIDN’T come back, but the Yellow Ribbon was wishing for the safe return of those still alive.

Just sent BING a note thanking them for their tribute. Installed it as a tab on my browser and will begin using it.

Check again.

Bing, google, ask.com, and dogpile all had good Veteran’s Day logos.

Google actually came through today.

Doesn't compare to Bing though.

How do you get rid of google?

Just don't use it. In most browsers, you can change your default search engine in the Tools menu. I would suggest Bing. It is much more useful.

Am I the only one who very rarely even sees the homepage of search engines anymore? It makes it mighty hard to get upset about what may or may not be on them.

I did check though, I like both Bing and Google’s tributes.

They’re only doing it because Bing is its competition...

Also check out dogpile.com — the character is saluting the flag.
Dogpile is a meta search that invokes several search engines.
I find it to be effective.

Seems like both are in keeping with the traditional look of the pages. Google usually alters the logo somewhat when they honor something. Bing has a daily picture. Both are nice.

Let's just say, I wish we could. Bing = MSN = MSNBC = Microsoft's typical Lefty media empire.
