The Nobel Peace Prize? Really?
The Stiletto Blog ^ | October 9, 2000 | The Stiletto

President Barack Hussein Obama has won the Nobel Peace Prize for his contributions to world peace in the two weeks between January 21, 2009, when he was inaugurated into office, and the February 1, 2009 deadline for nominations. Which is to say, nothing. Zero. Nada. Zilch. And nine months into his only term in office, he’s not accomplished a single thing more.

With a nod to “Saturday Night Live”:

† Has he halted North Korea’s nuclear program? Uh, no.

† Has he gotten Iran to abandon its nuclear ambitions? Nope.

† Has he stopped the genocide in Darfur? Uh-uh.

† Has he achieved peace between the Arabs and the Israelis? Not yet.

† Has he stopped human rights abuses in China. Nah. ...

It is said that talk is cheap but Obama, who is thus far all talk, no action will be getting $1.4 million from the Nobel Committee on December 10th.

I believe Ghandi did receive a Nobel Prize.

John Paul 2 however did not.

I guess he will just have to be satisfied with becoming a saint, and having saved millions from communism.

Seriously? They nominated him two weeks after taking the White House for what? Gratuitous Platitudes such closing Gitmo(How’s that going?)

Pulling out of Iraq(We have a full standing Army in theater, still)

Fighting the good war in Afghanistan(Our boys are getting killed while you stand around saying “we need to decide on a strategy before we set our goal”. Hey, you actually set a goal and then a strategy to achieve it.)

You know McCrystal is thinking: “I want to play Cowboys and muslims but, My boys are getting killed, because Obama doesn’t want to offend his cousins. That’s great, I wish he would stop consulting his OuijiPrompter and make a decision!”

Barack is saying “I know you want to play Cowboys and muslims. Thing is they’re my cousins…”

Barrack’s vision of a world without nuclear weapons sounds Nobel but, is really just childish. (Never going to happen and you don’t mean it anyway. You just want people to feel good that you said it. Well, I don’t any nuclear weapons either. Can I share your Nobel Prize?)

Strengthening International Diplomacy? That is just so rich! He has been snubbed by Iran, used by Hugo Chavez, been called naive by France, Insulted our greatest ally Great Britain, flubbed the Olympics, Putin has had a few choice words about Obama and He has not signed one international agreement of any sort.

Where is the peace between Israel and the palestinians? Why are the palestinians mocking his award this very day, if he is so successful?

I ask you this, if Barry O. is being laughed at by the international community, for acting like a child, is the prize being awarded for being a clown?

For further background on Barrack’s accomplishments in 9 months see this Saturday Night Live skit skewering him for his lack of achievements:
http://www.nbc.com/saturday-night-live/video/clips/obama-address/1163263/

Change we can believe in?

PS
This guy is no salesman and should never drink coffee again. Coffee is for closers! And he couldn’t close a closet door.

Awarded the Nobel Prize? They are giving him a Raspberry Award and openly insulting him. Much the same as Marxist leaders around the world, knowing a good thing, have praise for him and want to see him president for life.

Gonna make it a little hard for him to order more troops or drop bombs. They have essentially neutered this bad puppy.

He is now in the position of the being the Peace President and will have to negotiate the terms for peace, of the opposition.

Opposition, now that is funny. Opposition to who?

This is not about justice; it is about Identity Politics!

“”And nine months into his only term in office, he’s not accomplished a single thing more.””

I heard tonight that the nominators for the Peace Prize are not revealed for 50 years!! I didn’t realize that - how convenient. So none of us will ever know who put up his name or Carter’s or Gore’s or Arafat’s........

All I know is that it has to ba a historian. There are any number of sycophantic Ivy League historians it could be.

I don’t see what the stink is. Christ said that the world loves its own. JPII didn’t get it. I don’t think he would have accepted it. ‘Nuff said.

Mohandes Gandhi was nominated five times, but NEVER received the prize. The year he was assassinated they withheld the prize, saying “there was no suitable living candidate”.

you’d think they would have made an exception since he was assassinated
