I think I speak for many Americans when I say: Mr President. Please. Stay. Home. Just try it. It might not be so bad.
After your trip to Copenhagen (cost to taxpayer at least $1 million) its now official: Your elegant visage does not automatically melt hearts and bend wills. We have terrible problems back here in the old US of A. (Remember that country, Mr Global Citizen?)
So heres an idea: Sit in that nice Oval Office of yours. Alone. Think about one issue for longer than ten minutes. (As an incentive, youd look really moody and Kennedy-esque and someone might snap a picture of you Tackling the Problems of the Free World Alone in Your Office.)
Read a briefing paper. Hey, heres an idea: Read one of those 1,000 plus-page health bills thats going to transform one sixth of the American economy. You can be the first Democrat to find out whats actually in em so you folks wont keep getting beaten to the punch when conservative bloggers actually read the things and find embarrassing stuff.
If you think some really deep thoughts you get to make a speech about it with lots of those lovely, bright TV lights and a carefully assembled adoring crowd. But eat your spinach first.

It’s the ultimate catch-22.
If he’s home the agenda will be pushed.
If he’s away he will embarrass himself and us again but at least he’s not on the job.
yeah. and stay the hell out of manhattan for a while, Mr. Big Shot.
I’d like to see him travel ALL the time. As Europe is moving more toward the right, and as much as Zero makes US look socialist/marxist, the fact that he’s a lefty might push Europe into helping us elect some conservatives in 2010 and 12.
Did he ever apologize and take responsibility for that?
No.
BO considers the world his home.
How many actual days out of the last 9 months has Obama been IN the Oval Office?
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How about just going back home to Kenya....
Guilt must be getting to him he knows he doesn’t belong in the WH.
And stay off the television!!!!!!
Did you see the pitiful comments from America-hating Americans under her post?
‘Only 8% of Americans have a passport blah blah blah”
And staying there, an even better idea.
Perhaps as many days as he “served” or voted “present” in his illustrious Senate “career”?
As many days as he sat in the so called “Rev.” Wrong’s (excuse me,Wright’s) “Church”?
As many days as he “worked” in the law office?
As many days as he served in our military? Oh wait, he never served anyone except himself. Well, he did serve himself many millions at the taxpayer’s buffet.
Don’t get me started, just don’t. DGMS.
It seems 92% of us feel no reason whatsoever to visit other “Enlightened” countries.
Thats ok with me.
when he is out of country his poll numbers go up. when he is here, acting like a blathering idiot and pushing his idiotic agenda, the poll numbers tank. no one likes his health care, his dithering on afghanistan, his cap and tax, or any of his other crap. they do not think about it as much when he is traveling. but put him on t.v. running his mouth about stuff and watch as the favorable ratings plummet. this causes me to think it is better for we the people to have him in country.
