...It was a Megyn Kelly interviewing Wade Rathke, founder and former and chief organizer of ACORN. My initial impression was this was a very fair and objective interview by Kelly. She took him through his formative years of the radical 60s to the present. As the show went on Kelly, with the help of Stanley Kurtz and others, proceeded to eviscerate Rathke to the point he boiled over. It was devastating....
But the revelations were only half the story. The special was powerful because it relied heavily, very heavily, on the subtle audio and visual effects pioneered by CBSs 60 Minutes. So much so I thought I was listening to Leslie Stahl, not Megyn Kelly....
Watch and listen to the whole show here. (Link to video included).

I saw this last nite as well....at the very end Megyn put up a fox link (that I failed to write down) that included “hulu”........I dug around a bit this morning and found my way into hulu after I couldn’t find the link on foxnews.com......it turns out that hula has a BUNCH of fox clips and programs available already!.....here are some links to various foxnews video indexes on hulu.

Thank you.
I wonder if John Stossel had any input on this piece now that he’s with Fox? It sounds like it was similar to his style and not something previously seen on Fox.
“Megyn was brilliant”
I have to agree. One of the best in the business.
Thanks for the Hulu info. I did a Google search for this show and came up with the link I used. I will change it to the Fox link.
Thanks.

Megyn ... President Sarah Palin’s choice for Attorney General ... you could sell tickets on pay-per-view of the confirmation hearing...

Yowza!
FReep mail me if you want on/off the list.
thanks to BadRay bump
For those that missed it, Megyn says this report will be available at http://www.hulu.com/fox-news-specials .
I wonder if John Stossel had a hand in the production. Any thoughts folks?
It would be great if Megan was the face and John the digger in chief and producer.
Great program. Watched it twice.
I didn’t catch that comment but it wouldn’t surprise me. Rathke gave me the impression that he thinks he’s a lot smarter and sneakier than he really is.
I know he spoke about getting his start with the group that would become ACORN despite disagreeing with their goals. He seemed rather pleased that he failed miserably at the welfare reform goals of the group but bragged that he did advance his own goals.
I guess the thing that really irritated me was when he said how lucky ACORN is that there are plenty of poor people.
“Megyn ... President Sarah Palins choice for Attorney General ... you could sell tickets on pay-per-view of the confirmation hearing...”
Oh boy! I’d love to see this team in action. Sphincters of the corrupt would be clenching at the thought of their unforgiving ‘probes’.
One difference with this special was it seems FOX put some money into the it. It wasn't their usual 2 people sitting at a desk. FOX gets away with horrible production values because they're the only network that makes any effort to show both sides.
In the early years FOX didn't even have to do the desk bit - they could have had a conservative standing in a freshly plowed field, talking to one person, with one camera and a cell phone picking up the audio and all of us would have been thrilled. Thank God for FOX.
Indeed. For her Bio on foxnews.com:
Prior to her career in journalism, Kelly, an attorney, practiced as a litigator with Jones Day in New York City, Chicago and Washington, D.C. before leaving to pursue journalism. She joined FOX News in 2004.
Kelly earned her J.D. from Albany Law School, where she also served as editor of the Albany Law Review and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Syracuse.
Bachelor's from Syracuse and a JD on top. Not bad. Say what you want about Fox News... they take a lot flak about hiring "just pretty faces" but people who say that should take some time and go through the actual bio's of their on-air talent. Almost everyone has a very impressive pedigree. Not just pretty faces.
