In terms of job description, I consider both Beck and Couric to be in the entertainment/journalism/media personality business.

Katie clearly thinks it is reasonable to ask Beck for his political affiliation, but I would imagine that she would be offended if anyone asked her the same question -- she's a journalist! That means she's objective and impartial!

I watched the whole thing (I dislike the format where it cannot be paused) and formed the opinion that she expected fireworks and quotable sound bites that made her look good as an interviewer. Beck was so reasonable in demeanor and textual answer that she injected more and more of her own opinion in order to provoke the response she was looking for.

Pretty good. It makes me feel worse about Mark Levin though. All that haranguing about one statement taken out of context from a 45 minute discussion. Very sad.

I liked what Beck said about Rush; and there were times when I just looked at Beck's face where I thought I could see Rush.

WOW! Great interview!Katie told Glen that people could not believe she was having him on her program because he was 'bad for America". He pushed himself forward in his chair toward her and told her that people told him they could not believe he was going to be on her program because "SHE was bad for America". She changed the subject.

She changed the subject several other times when he cornered her.
