I have contacted the U.S. District Court in Columbus, Georgia and spoken with Ms. Terri and a Mr. Timothy Frost in the Clerks Office. I informed both individuals that after reviewing the Letter of Capt. Connie Rhodes filed Friday September 18, 2009 the signature on said letter appears to be "cut & pasted" onto the document.
Mr. Frost states "I spoke with an acquaintance of Capt. Rhodes on Friday before the document was faxed." Mr. Frost stated that after speaking with his boss and the acquaintance assuring the Court an original would be sent after Capt. Rhodes arrives in Iraq, the court accepted the document. I asked "would that acquaintance would be a Mr. Joe Parton," and Mr. Frost said he would not give his name, and that the Court has accepted the document as authentic. Mr. Frost also stated that "if the Court does not receive an original from Iraq then there may be a problem."
I made it clear to Ms. Terri and Mr. Frost that I have no interest in this case other than verifying that the September 18, 2009 letter of Capt. Rhodes was authentic and was not filed in an effort to make Judge Land or the Court look bad. I believe Mr. Frost has confirmed for me that the letter was in fact prepared by the "acquaintance" and not Capt. Connie Rhodes, unless Mr. Frost wants to change his statement as to having spoken with "an acquaintance of Capt. Rhodes" to having spoken with Capt. Rhodes herself, since the last paragraph of the letter states:
"I am faxing this as was advised by Tim, who works in the District Clerk's office. I will mail the original copy of this letter once I have arrived in Iraq."
I have received an email address for Capt. Rhodes and will send her an email asking if she signed the letter.

Since you voted for Hillary, then you must also know how mad as hell the PUMA.com girls were when a usurper infiltrator was outed of working the same way you are doing, hmmm???
Honestly, do you real believe any of that, especially from Larry???
If, I lost you URL site name, please freep mail it to me, thanks!!!
Your claims of my being an infiltrator are pathetic and transparent. A simple review of my posts here at FR will prove my loyalty to the conservative cause and my contempt of all things Obama.
I voted for Hillary in the Democratic Primary at the request of Rush Limbaugh for Operation Chaos. I voted and volunteered for McCain/Palin in the general election.
Go harass someone else. You have no idea what you’re talking about. You look foolish and you’re embarassing yourself.
I couldn't agree more!
Those are words we, Orly and I have both lived under....TYRANNY...
Anyone in this country who have never lived that way, don't know what that means, but I see it coming here little by little IF we don't stand up, and Orly is trying her best, whether you like her or not. She is exposing having the balls her male colleagues have shoved up in their rear end h...!!!
Seems like I hit a “nerve”???
Orly’s response:
I don’t know if this letter came from her, since she is in Iraq now and the Office -max store from where it came, states that they don’t send faxes for customers. The signature on her notarized letter from Kansas and this letter looks different.
Regardless, whether it is her or not, there is no ground for accusations. She authorized me to proceed with the legal action. Motion for reconsideration is a routine procedure and attorney is not required to get an additional consent from the client. Any attorney will confirm that. That is particularly true in exigent circumstances like these.
It appears Connie was pressured by the military. It appear to be a concerted effort to quash all free speech, particularly any legal challenges to Obama’s legitimacy, Attorney Hemenway in DC was threatened with sanctions of $10,000, I was threatened with sanctions. Connie Rhodes was threatened with high costs of litigation to be paid to the Department of Defense and Department of Justice. It is possible that this letter was written to avoid paying high litigation costs.
The most important question is still on the table: why would the judge levy $10,000 in sanctions instead of instructing Obama to produce a real Hospital birth certificate with a name of the hospital name of the doctor and signatures , so we can locate this birthing file? Why go to such extend? The only answer is: that the administration is scared, they know they have nothing to show for except for the piece of JPG garbage that Obama posted on the Internet (no name of the hospital, no name of the doctor).
Well, all good that ends good. This threat of sanctions gives me an opportunity to demand rule 11 discovery and get all of Obama’ records through the back door

Get lost, trollgagger
Thanks for posting this. I don’t frequent her site.
It’s not from her site. It’s from the libtards at Talking Points Memo
And how did the court clerk know that the person he spoke to really was a friend of Captain Rhodes. How does the clerk know she really did authorize him to send the letter, and cut and paste her signature, which doesn't look like her signature, onto the letter?
She is a little busy today, putting the final touches on the response to the Motion to Dismiss in her other case, in Judge Carter's court, assuming that is not already filed. I'd give her until late afternoon, maybe after the court closes for the day, before coming to too many conclusions.
An acquaintance huh?
The acquaintance couldn't walk it down to the Fed Court House a few minutes away from the OfficeMax?
Did Rhodes call to tell the Court that an acquaintance will be sending a letter to them on her behalf?

From Sinclair. "I believe Mr. Frost has confirmed for me that the letter was in fact prepared by the acquaintance and not Capt. Connie Rhodes, unless Mr. Frost wants to change his statement as to having spoken with an acquaintance of Capt. Rhodes to having spoken with Capt. Rhodes herself, since the last paragraph of the letter states:
I am faxing this as was advised by Tim, who works in the District Clerks office. I will mail the original copy of this letter once I have arrived in Iraq.
- end snip -
And Rhodes couldn't find 30 minutes in her day to write the letter?
I wasn’t privy to that conversation, so I can’t answer your question. Whatever was discussed between the two of them seems to have satisfied the clerk that this person was truly representing CPT Rhodes. It’s likely that the clerk took note of his name and phone number. So if he was lying, Judge Land will have his head when CPT Rhodes fails to follow up with the orginal, signed letter confirming the fax.
Here’s another update from TPMmuckraker:
Late Update: Clerk of Court Gregory Leonard tells TPMmuckraker that, while it’s up to the judge to assess the legitimacy of the Rhodes letter, he did hear from the Columbus district office, and authorized Rhodes to submit the letter initially by fax because she was en route to Iraq. It has to be followed up by the original letter, he said.
Rhodes found out about the motion to stay deployment from the late local news broadcast as she was leaving to board her plane to Iraq. She says so in the faxed letter. Since she was leaving to catch her plane, I doubt she had 30 minutes to write a letter. It’s likely that she called a friend or colleague to take care of it for her, which he did at 2:00 on Friday, 9/19. I believe CPT Rhodes’ plane had already departed for Iraq by that time, but I haven’t yet confirmed that fact.
So what we have here is someone who can't be seen, phone call(?), who claimed to be speaking for Rhodes. And who faxed her letter from an OfficeMax that is only a few minutes away when she/he could have easily dropped it off at the court house in person.
Yeah, he's jumping out there.
I'll wait for confirmation out of Rhode's own mouth.
You are still assuming its all true. The whole thing is iffy.
Sinclair: Mr. Frost said he would not give his name, and that the Court has accepted the document as authentic. Mr. Frost also stated that if the Court does not receive an original from Iraq then there may be a problem.
Also in "black and white" is in bold above.
