Here is video showing that President Obama either misrepresented the facts in telling a personal story about his daughter Sasha having been "diagnosed with meningitis," or he simply did not know the facts. At any rate, the New York Times reported:
In her speech, Mrs. Obama also told the story of how her daughter Sasha would not stop crying when she was 4 months old. A doctor’s visit revealed she might have meningitis; she ultimately did not, but the illness produced a scare.
Thankfully, she did not have meningitis. But why would Obama say she was "diagnosed with meningitis."
This is not a huge deal, but for a President who has felt so free to chide opponents for not getting facts straight, it would behoove the President to be more careful himself. . . . (VIDEO)

The ‘you lie’ line seems appropriate to me.
It's almost like a turbine winding up (very low tone, of course) before runway (speech) speed is reached.
Mich says Sasha could have , zero says did.
It’s hard to stop lying when you’re a chronic liar.
Good thing a surgeon didn’t show up to behead her.
Bigger issues to deal with. People embellish stories to make their points. These little knit picky things don’t help move our demands forward and I really believe this childish crap keeps people who may be considering joining the “right” side on the bench (or in the middle undecided).
This is one of those things better left uncaught...in my post-racial opinion.
A GP can diagnose many things - but generally wait for the test results to come back which generally means the parents take the child to some lab for blood work, etc.
A colic baby can mean many things and I would doubt a doctor would jump to one of the worst case “diagnosed with meningitis.” without a blood test.
Does our President lie, yes. Does he mistake facts or are his experiences far different then most, yes.
I think when you create a story for so long - it becomes part of the lie or life memory you have - but clearly, after raising three children with many different doctors, I have spent time in ER’s and labs without this experience.

I heard Michelle talking about this. She never said that her daughter actually had meningitis. She just said the doctor thought she might have it. Doctor then told her, take her baby to the emergency room. What I want to know is, first, why did she need a doctor to tell her that? And what does having or not having insurance, have to do with going to the emergency room? Nothing, absolutely nothing.
Did he give her a pain pill and make it all better?
Or is that treatment just reserved for Senior Citizens...

This is similar to the contradiction about how Barack met Michelle.
In one of his many autobiographies, he wrote that they met while working at the same law firm. While speaking to a group of college students, he said they met in a college class.
For him, truth is malleable.

They were too worried at the time to hear the real diagnosis perhaps? Or it could have become “did have meningitis” instead of ‘could have’ depending upon who was doing the speaking?
Whatever, the bigger story to me was that the New York Times would report any contradiction of anything an Obama said!!! Wow.

What I want to know is, why she worried about ‘it’. Afterall, ‘it’ was just a baby and not human yet (remember, according to Dear Leader’s medical expert, it takes years for a child to become human).
MO could have solved this troublesom ‘punishment’ of dealing with a crying baby by just putting ‘it’ out with the trash and letting ‘it’ die like any dutiful, good supporter of abortion and infanticide would do. Where were her principles?! Why didn’t she follow the party line?!
