How about you show me where in the Constitution it prohibits the federal government from doing this?

Well then how do you know Clyburn didn't hear Napolitano say "Excuse me, boy, where in the Constitution...."

It makes no sense either way to inject race into the issue.

Idiot apparently doesn’t understand the phrase “enumerated powers.” See also Tenth Amendment.

What a moron.

It is actually quite distressing (1) that he taught Constitutional law and (2) to see how unintelligent he actually is. The problem is that one can never tell if he is purposely being ignorant on a topic (like health care) or he is naturally ignorant (like business and economics.

“We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

The liberal mistake in their interpretation is that the Constitution says ‘promote’ the general welfare, it does not say ‘provide’. They are to ‘promote’ the general welfare so that WE can pursue happiness and prosperity.

They interpret everything to mean they should be able to CONTROL (through socialist ideology) everything having to do with our welfare. But that’s not what our founding fathers said or meant at all.

Every time at the town hall’s when somebody asked that question I had to stop myself from hitting the tv when the liberals kept claiming that clause allows them to control.
