NO! You will love this. One of them arrogantly told me that they were RECORDING THE WHOLE THING. There is a TAPE of the entire incident.
You sound too serious for this to be one of those ‘political stunts that I coordinate from time to time.’
Your charge should have been: Contempt of Cop. Its not a crime, but that doesn’t stop them.
May I correct this statement?
"One of them arrogantly told me that they were recording the whole thing. There is was a type of the entire incident".
Even though every word you spoke may, (or may not), be true, I wish you much luck in trying to prosecute the police for violating your and your family's rights. You say you were once an attorney yourself. If this is the case then you know the fastest way to earning an impeccable win-loss record is to defend the police in Court. Before these six guys are through with you they'll look like George Washington, Abe Lincoln, a priest, a nun, a minister and a rabbi. Meanwhile, they'll try to make you look like a domestic terrorist.
I would highly recommend that you get a court order as quick as you can to
1) provide you a copy of the tape
2) classify the tape as evidence in the criminal complaint against you and your lawsuit against them - so that they will not lose / destroy the tape
Don't worry about the tape. If it helps your case it will disappear.
Unless you are in physical possession of that tape I doubt it. Everything that you said that could possibly be taken out of context, misconstrued or slanted has been transcribed and the tape itself has been destroyed so that there is no evidence of anything they said which would substantiate any accusations the perp (I mean you, and yes, you do detect irony there) might make.
You have to figure they are plotting a way to make you regret filing charges. Better make sure they don’t “lose” the tape.
Please tell me mom and baby went to the hospital to get “checked out” and you took pictures of the bruised arm. I’m sure you know that will really help your case.
Since you said you were a former attorney, what line of work are you in now?
Ooops...didn't know this.Well, that just might elevate the case to an entirely different league.Just hope that the tape isn't "accidentally" misplaced.Or erased!
Yeehaw! You may have hit the Motherlode!
Oh that is too good! LOL!
And for anyone still on the fence about police officers... most of them are ex-military guys... they are more loyal to their unit then they are to United States...
So anyone who thinks for a NY minute that the police won't shoot or abuse unarmed civilians when the government has too much power... think again.
