Vick would have been better off if he raped a white grandma.

Abusing dogs is unforgiveable.

"ok, so all felons who serve their time should never be employed. gotcha, meg."

I don't believe anyone's complaining about old Michael getting a job at the local lumber yard or as a trash collector. But, a lot of people - like me - who are paying thousands of dollars a year for season tickets have a problem with the league allowing this kind of garbage on the field.

Michael Vick was given a second chance, by the criminal justice system. He's now a free man. The question then becomes, does he deserve a second chance to be rich almost beyond imagination.

holy smokes. All these self-rightouess types. I suppose they should have just executed Vick! What they are saying is that justice was not served. That the sentencing was inappropriate.

The guy was sentenced and did his time! He paid his debt! From what I have seen he has demonstrated genuine remorse. Sheesh, BACK OFF. Give the guy a chance.

A few questions for you...

Should priests who molest kids be allowed to return to the priesthood after they serve their time?

Should Chief Financial Officers who get caught embezzling money be hired to oversee the finances of another company after they serve their time?

After all, that’s the job they were trained to do.

while I disagree with her, in that I think Vick has served his time and should be able to work, I find criminals calling their act’s “mistakes” extremely distasteful. Vick did not Trip into running a dog fight, he did not oversleep into, he did not miss a right turn and ended up at one. If Vick wanted allot of this to go away he should speak honestly and plainly..

What I did was evil, it was awful and I can see that now. I am grateful I live in a country where a man can serve a just time for his crimes and restart his life when that time is over.

Ya know, that’s the same lame argument that the woman on the show tried to give. (the one who said he just made a mistake, and blamed his culture ... uh sure) No one is saying that he should never be employed anywhere.
The argument is whether he should be employed as a professional football player.

I honestly believe that felons should also have every single one of their RIGHTS restored upon completion of their sentence. Like the right to vote and Right to Keep and Bear Arms.

Why should playing in the NFL which is a Priviledge be less important.

Highly unlikely that Ken Lay (Enron) would EVER been allowed in a fiduciary job again. Yet, Vick should be restored to the gridiron? HELL NO.

Maybe working at shrimp net repair.

No, the ones who KILL INNOCENT ANIMALS for "FUN" & PROFIT shouldn't be given a second chance to earn MILLIONS playing sports! Let him get a job cleaning dog poop for all I care but he shouldn't be allowed to enjoy playing a sport!

I saw part of the interview and I guarantee you he is NOT SORRY for what he did. He is sorry he got caught. Once he has a chance to earn his MILLIONS he will give the 'fans' the finger and 'move on'. You just watch!

I agree with Megyn. There are evil felons and there are felons who violated the law. Vick is the former. He did something that shows he has evil character. He didn't kill dogs, he tortured them. I would not expect a rapist, pedophile, serial killer, etc. to be allowed back to play, either.

A thief, a tax cheat, a small time drug user or dealer, these kinds of people can do their time and be accepted back into society. Maybe they made mistakes. They may become decent people. On the other hand, an evil creature like Vick can do his time, but the act marks him for life by virtue of having done something that is pure evil.

Megan never said that he can't be employed, she just doesn't think the NFL should hire him and pay him big money to perform for fans after the kind of crime he committed. I agree.
