I don't believe anyone's complaining about old Michael getting a job at the local lumber yard or as a trash collector. But, a lot of people - like me - who are paying thousands of dollars a year for season tickets have a problem with the league allowing this kind of garbage on the field.
Michael Vick was given a second chance, by the criminal justice system. He's now a free man. The question then becomes, does he deserve a second chance to be rich almost beyond imagination.
the NFL is a business just like any other. if you don't agree with them, do not patronize them.
besides, this guy owes almost $4 million in legal bills. but the fact is, people with extraordinary talent get breaks in life. just the way it is.
That's the key to this. No team should ask their fans to cheer this POS when he takes the field. I agree he has "paid his debt to society", but I could never support a team that would hire this guy.
If he'd done drugs, or made some other "mistake", I'd feel differently. But only a cruel and sick and evil person could derive pleasure from torturing animals the way Vick and his homies did. If either of the Texas NFL teams had hired him, I'd never watch either team again.
