Here is video of Fox News' Megyn Kelly going ballistic during a segment discussing Michael Vick's public plea for forgiveness in a 60 Minutes interview last night, and his return to the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Kelly does not believe he should be given a second chance in the NFL. As she discussed the topic with panelists, she got increasingly upset as what Vick did was described as a "mistake." That's when she went ballistic, saying:
"How can do you condone giving anybody that shows that side of his character a second chance."Kelly clearly believes Donte Stallworth's manslaughter conviction was not as bad as what Michael Vick did.

Congrats - you pegged it. Its a female thing.
Using reason to account for their actions is silly.
Question:
Which is lower, a guy who kisses their butt licking dog on the mouth, or a guy who takes every opportunity to watch male athletes in tight pants?
Answer:
Same guy — latent homo.
but one of the cons is that people with extraordinary skills get more chances when it comes to this type of situation than do average people.
would we be so up in arms if a world-class surgeon who went to jail for cheating on his taxes got out and went back to surgery?
of course, michael vick does not save lives. but his athletic skills are better than 99.999999% of the population, and in our meritocracy where your worth is measured by how easy it is to replace you, vick's talents are harder to replace than almost any others.
the NFL is a business. patronize it if you wish, avoid it if you wish.
So that gives him a pass to PROFIT FROM KILLING DOGS?! What is the next step, KILLING PEOPLE?! Would that keep his sorry butt off the field or would he get a pass for that too?!
I just happen to think they could find someone WITH MORALS who could play the game just as well if they actually looked. At what point do you say ENOUGH?! You have crossed the line of no return when you think KILLING ANIMALS FOR FUN & PROFIT is a good idea, IMO!
I wouldn’t hire him until he explained the reason why what he did was wrong in a convincing manner. I think that’s pretty reasonable. Just saying it was a mistake and that he still has no clue why he did it doesn’t cut it for me. I’m kinda suprised a lotta Freepers would let that slide.
Freegards
I said dogs, not females.
Indeed.
And he is stupid enough WHEN HE IS A GROWN MAN to keep doing it for PROFIT?! I don't care what he was 'around' when he was a kid. He should know better unless he is brain dead.
The court of public opinion is often much harsher than that of gov't.
in fact, killing dogs has cost him over $100 million dollars to date, and counting.
this is an emotional issue and i understand that. but the law does not take emotion into account.
KILLING DOGS FOR FUN & PROFIT IS NOT 'SCREWING UP'. 'Screwing up' would be a traffic ticket or an accident. This was no accident! He planned it, nurtured it, profited from it (and HID IT!) so he knew it was wrong!
He served his time but that doesn't give him the right to play football for millions.
When sports is more important than morals it's a sad day. If you don't mind watching the creep by all means help yourself.
He doesn’t have the right to play football. The employer has the right to hire him. You have the right to not buy ticlets unless the SWAT team stole your charge card.
BS, from what I saw he was arrogant and condescending about it. What is the line he is allowed to cross before he is refused a place on the field? Just where is it?!
Yes, there is.
The Link Between Animal Abuse and Serial Killers
October 29, 2007
Ted Bundy, David Berkowitz and Jeffrey Dahmer have more in common than just being serial killers. These three murderers are also connected by the fact that each of them tortured and/or killed animals during their childhoods. "Researchers as well as FBI and other law enforcement agencies nationwide have linked animal cruelty to domestic violence, child abuse, serial killings and to the recent rash of killings by school age children", says Dr. Randall Lockwood (vice president of training and initiatives for the Humane Society of the United States.
Some children are cruel to and torture animals to impress their peers, but future serial killers usually torture animals purely for their own enjoyment. Animal abuse is a recognized sign of a mental disorder. If a child hurts animals it should be a red flag and immediate action should be taken. While there are many factors that contribute to someone becoming a serial killer, the one constant they share is animal abuse.
Jeffrey Dahmer showed an intense interest in dismembering animals as a child. As an adult he was charged with murdering and dismembering at least sixteen people. Dahmer is just one example of this. As a matter of fact, most people who are on death row for murder admit to abusing animals as children. A study done by North Eastern University and the Massachusetts SPCA found that people who abuse animals are five times more likely to abuse humans than people who do not. Albert Schweitzer said it best when the wrote that "Anyone who has accustomed himself to regard the life of any living creature as worthless is in danger of arriving also at the idea of worthless human lives".
What BS!
My dogs are my dogs, they aren't my children. But, I don't think I'll take the dogs in the back yard and TEACH THEM TO KILL ONE ANOTHER FOR FUN AND PROFIT!
