I don’t think the Obama Administration has any real sense that telling the truth is “the right thing to do” or even “the smart thing to do”. Apparently, telling the truth is ... you know, an option ... but there are lots of other good options out there. The important thing is to speak some words that will make people think the way you want them to think. Spout some drivel, make people smile mindlessly, and move on. That’s responsible governance.

Anyone ever been strolling casually through a pasture in the Spring, taking in the lush green sight and smell of the new growth - and stepped in a big ole pile of “green grass squirts” cow chit, slipped and fell right into the whole mess?
John Gibb’s just did! :)

With Obama, there is no “Right Thing to Do” or “Wrong Thing to Do”. There is only “What We Wanna Do”, and that is what they do.
The law simply does not matter, because there is nobody willing to enforce the law.

Remember, it is against the law for them to keep information like this due to the law make after Nixon's enemies list but it is illegal to delete White House e-mail’s. It is catch 22 situation. This is why they want to be sent e-mails.

FOIA, unfortunately, by statute does NOT apply to White House and/or presidential records.
Which is probably why they set up the snitch line the way they did.

Thanks for the info, good to know. E-mails and e-mail addresses won’t do them much good until they sort the data, put names with addresses, etc. Can that be done without making a file that would be illegal to destroy?
