Palin Camp Shoots Down Ridiculous Divorce Rumors Spread by CNN Stringer Dennis Zaki

Yet again, some so-called journalists have decided to make up a story. There is no truth to the recent “story” (and story is the correct term for this type of fiction) that the Palins are divorcing. The Palins remain married, committed to each other and their family, and have not purchased land in Montana (last week it was reported to be Long Island).

Less than one week ago, Governor Palin asked the media to “quit making things up.” We appreciate that the more professional journalists decided to question this story before repeating it.

The release is in response to a ludicrous rumor being spread by Alaskan CNN stringer Dennis Zaki. Zaki, who previously bought into rumors of Trig Truth, picked up these allegations from the same source - the rabidly anti-Palin, Trig Truth-espousing anonymous blogger "Gryphen" of the blog "Immoral Minority". Gryphen is a friend of Zaki's, along with fellow Team Truth members Shannyn Moore, Phil Munger, and "AKMuckraker" of the Mudflats.

The rumor was already being picked up and spread around the echo chamber of the Alaskan Team Truther blogs...not only by Zaki, but by fellow Trig Truther "Doctor Phil" Munger of Progressive Alaska.

Sounds like the Palins are cutting these rumors off at the knees. Good for them.

The Prowler added: "Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."
The Romney supporters in the McCain campaign had access to internal polling which indicated well in advance of the November 4 election that McCain had no chance to win.
So they began working to position their man Mitt for a run in 2012. Just two days after the election,The Palmetto Scoop reported:
"One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."

These aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.
Erick Erickson, who organized Operation Leper, said:
"Here’s what I think: I think there are some staffers on the McCain campaign who seriously screwed up the roll out of Sarah Palin, to which Governor Palin herself objected.
These staffers are now out trying to finish her off thinking, as typical D.C. types do, that if they don’t do it to her, she’ll do it to them. They just never understood who Palin is or what she is about."

I don’t understand this notion that if she sues she cannot win. Does that mean that anyone can post a lie about someone, all for the purpose of hurting them and nothing can be done about it.

Same here. Far from being a legal expert, but it seems that these slanderers are working from the premise that Sarah is a 'public figure', and so she is fair game. However, on the other hand, she is no longer employed in the public sector (re: her resignation), but is still a 'public figure', and then again - still fair game.

Either way its cut, there is a whole lot of slander out there and all it would take is a *major* lawsuit against any MSM outlet which publishes these slanders to be made an example of ... they've already been put on notice by Palin's lawyers. Let them cross that line and the sparks will fly.

They have already been put on notice but they are still doing it. This crosses the line in ways that should make her attorney say enough and start suing. This Dennis Zaki(Who turns out to be best buddies with every single person who filed ethics complaints against Sarah Palin..well golly, what a small world) is already backtracking saying he is just reporting this “rumor” and will bring us some more info in the next few weeks. Looks like to me he is already crapping in his pants and doesn’t want to get sued. Same story with Shannyn Moore, who after Sarah resigned, said, get this, that in the next few days Sarah Palin was gonna be indited by the FBI and thrown in jail, well, since that rumor was proven to be false, what did Shannyn Moore do, she backtracked and said “Oh I was saying what I had heard” this is what these leftists do, they are smart, I’ll give them that, they put lies out there then claim they were just reporting on what they heard, well, who told them this, reveal the source, of course we all know who the sources are, Obama, Axelrod, Soros, and Emmanuel

Zaki is just another homosexual who’s got the hots for Sarah and it confuses him. He should stick with tying up homosexual prostitutes and whipping each other.

As with Zaki's invented story, where he cannot be sued successfully unless the Palins as public figures can prove that he knew the story was false (a high standard when he might not have been certain, even if there is evidence that he made it up), your "slander" cannot lead to a successful lawsuit. Zaki is also a public figure and thus subject to the unreasonably high standards of proof before you can be sued successfully.

Ann will be divorcing Romney long before Sarah thinks of divorcing Todd...
