Sen. Byrd has become wise in his dodder-age.

Say what you want about Byrd but he has always stuck up for the coal industry and knows what this bill would do to his home state.

He’d sooner be carried out of the Senate in a pine box than vote for this stinkin’ POS bill.

I was praying literally for this, which is a better use of time than writing or calling my two speedbumps in the US Senate. Cap and trade is a killer for WV coal.

Still, I was betting that he is so feeble that his staff was probably keeping him under wraps and was filling in the dots for him.

Good for Senator Byrd! I’d love to see him join a filibuster.

This is just like Helen Thomas last week.

They must be getting senile!

In any case, perhaps these 2 are having their broken-clock moments.

I hear WV gets 100% of its electricity from coal.

“better use of time than writing or calling my two speedbumps in the US Senate”

You go that right!

Especially the old speedbump - which she really could be, being that she’s a “Butterball”.

Maybe he’s just a racist.

Hope Rockefeller will get on board with this, as well.

It’s bad for the Mountaineer State.
