The Democrats' Stunning Chutzpah on Patriotism
The Provocateur ^ | 06/29/2009 | Mike Volpe

Remember when Democrats screamed that they weren't going to stand to be called unpatriotic just because they dissented from then President Bush's policies. Here is John Kerry on the subject.

I have come here today to reaffirm that it was right to dissent in 1971 from a war that was wrong. And to affirm that it is both a right and an obligation for Americans today to disagree with a President who is wrong, a policy that is wrong, and a war in Iraq that weakens the nation.

Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.

A People’s Organization is dedicated to an eternal war. A war is not an intellectual debate, and in the war against social evils there are no rules of fair play.

In a fight almost anything goes. It almost reaches the point where you stop to apologize if a chance blow lands above the belt.

Ten months after returning home from Vietnam, a young John Kerry strolled into the offices of The Harvard Crimson on Feb. 13, 1970 as an obscure underdog in the Democratic Congressional primary.

The decorated veteran, honorably discharged after a tour of duty in the Mekong Delta, spoke in fierce terms during his daylong interview with The Crimson’s Samuel Z. Goldhaber ’72.

But almost 34 years later, Kerry’s remarks on American military and intelligence operations vastly diverge from opinions expressed by the present-day Sen. John F. Kerry, D.-Mass., the leading candidate in the Democratic primary for president.

“I’m an internationalist,” Kerry told The Crimson in 1970. “I’d like to see our troops dispersed through the world only at the directive of the United Nations.”

Kerry said he wanted “to almost eliminate CIA activity. The CIA is fighting its own war in Laos and nobody seems to care.”

With his special hat. On Christmas. While Nixon was President.

John Kerry is insane.

If this goofball is an internationalist, then he need to resign from the senate, renounce his US citizenship and move to some internationalist place like Swaziland. This is just so much bovine remains and so is Jean Kerrie and the rest of the lear jet libs. Can you imagine this idiot as a greeter at the Wal Mart in Sulphur Springs, Texas? Another case of someone educated WAY beyond their intelligence.

He put HIMSELF in for the first one when a piece of shrapnel from a rocket HE FIRED blew back on him and slightly pierced the skin...he had to hold it in place all the way to the medics..the CO refused to put him in for it...so he waited until after he left...this guy got three PH and never spent an hour in the infirmary..and his fellow officers HATED him...he used to make his crew “re-enact” battle footage so he could film it with HIS OWN FILM camera...something all the guys brought with them...

Kerry’s then-CO, Swift Vet Grant Hibbard, says he refused to authorize his first Purple Heart. How Kerry managed to obtain it remains unknown, as none of the relevant documents are available.
