As the events unfold in Iran, Elective Decisions wishes to know what you think. Is Barack Obama truly suppressing libety in Iran by not supporting the student uprising? As always, remember to vote with passion at the above link!
We’ll see where his udoing comes.
You said — Of course I think Americans as a whole care far more than Obama, and that might make the difference come next year. And that’s on a whole range of issues.
—
Well..., in the past, here on Free Republic, I’ve taken the position (about Obama) that the U.S. deserves the best government that its people vote for — and we got Obama, as a result.
And thus, I’ve said that it does appear that Obama — is — the judgment of God upon this nation, and if this nation wants to get rid of Obama, then they need to repent and turn to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob — and then — there might be “grace” from God, to our nation, in getting rid of Obama...
I’ve also posted the following... before...
Now, God is a forgiving God, though, and if we *do listen* to an example of a previous President, this nation *may* find some grace from our Creator God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
BUT, without the requisite repentance, dont expect the grace of God upon this nation (although as individuals, we do live in Gods grace on our personal lives, in accepting the salvation offered by Him, through faith in Jesus, the Messiah of Israel...)
To see *how far the U.S. has fallen* from God and His righeousness..., just look at what Abraham Lincoln wrote...
The following is a national repentence thread.
Abraham Lincolns Word to the United States Today
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2232720/posts
[ This is Lincolns original proclamation, with only *four words* changed in *one phrase* (only)... The rest is the exact same proclamation, except for the dates adjusted, and thats all (and the note at the very bottom of the proclamation, the very last line...) ]
A Proclamation.
Whereas, the Senate of the United States, devoutly recognizing the Supreme Authority and just Government of Almighty God, in all the affairs of men and of nations, has, by a resolution, requested the President to designate and set apart a day for National prayer and humiliation.
And whereas it is the duty of nations as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth, announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord.
And, insomuch as we know that, by His divine law, nations like individuals are subjected to punishments and chastisements in this world, may we not justly fear that the awful calamity of economic and national collapse, which now desolates the land, may be but a punishment, inflicted upon us, for our presumptuous sins, to the needful end of our national reformation as a whole People? We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven. We have been preserved, these many years, in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power, as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us!
It behooves us then, to humble ourselves before the offended Power, to confess our national sins, and to pray for clemency and forgiveness.
Now, therefore, in compliance with the request, and fully concurring in the views of the Senate, I do, by this my proclamation, designate and set apart Thursday, the 30th. day of July, 2009, as a day of national humiliation, fasting and prayer. And I do hereby request all the People to abstain, on that day, from their ordinary secular pursuits, and to unite, at their several places of public worship and their respective homes, in keeping the day holy to the Lord, and devoted to the humble discharge of the religious duties proper to that solemn occasion.
All this being done, in sincerity and truth, let us then rest humbly in the hope authorized by the Divine teachings, that the united cry of the Nation will be heard on high, and answered with blessings, no less than the pardon of our national sins, and the restoration of our now divided and suffering Country, to its former happy condition of unity and peace.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the United States to be affixed.
Done at the City of Washington, this 12th day of April, in the year of our Lord two thousand and nine, and of the Independence of the United States the two hundred and thirty second.
By the President: Abraham Lincoln
Sent by the Word of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob
NOW..., as to whether the U.S. and its people *will do this* thats another question. I seriously doubt it so I think the judgment of God will *stay in place* and the U.S. is going down...
More and more you see people that have realized what a mistake they made in voting Obama.
Lets make it happen!
Yep - I think it’s time to roll on this Mutt...we can’t keep acting like flies...
A definite YES!
Perfect picture, jessduntno. Thanks for posting.
Very good Star Traveler, folks need to hear about the origins of Allah, the moon god (small g). Allah HAD NO SON but you could probably put together a concise outline of Allah.
Incorrectly, many times the MSM wrongfully translates Allah as “God” with a capital G (as in the One True God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob). Typical of mushy-headed thinking, it’s all the same to them I guess...

There are a lot here, who need to hear that about Allah, too — on Free Republic... it seems... :-)
Waiting with baited breath... >:-}
Now you’re talking!
Let’s Roll!
Be Ever Vigilant!
I agree with you both. A lot of Americans have little understanding of Allah and the Muslim religion in general. Largely, because this isn’t a Muslim nation. It was founded on the Judeo-Christian ethic.

Talk about some people being ignorant about Islam, and especially Sharia law (which governs all Muslims, where they can do it...) — is that I’ve got someone telling me on another thread that the Muslims in Iraq don’t really want Sharia law governing the Muslims over there — while at the same time — we’ve got Muslim over here in this country who *do want* Sharia law incorporated here for them to live under... LOL...
Some people just want to “deny, deny and deny”... :-)
Great graphic, SparkyBass. Thanks for posting.
Obama wishes to allow, allow, allow. Hence leaving Israel hung out to dry.

Well, even though it may sound a bit weird here, coming from me..., I’m a lot less worried about Israel than I am about the U.S.
At least, with Israel I read a lot of the promises of God to protect it, no matter what, and for Israel to be a nation before Him forever, and that no one will exterminate the Jews — as the nation and the Jews are under His protection, even though they have also come under the judgment of God, too (they still will not be destroyed)
HOWEVER, I read no such promises for the U.S. in the Bible....
Thus, I would be more worried about Islam taking over the U.S. as part of a *judgment of God* on this nation for rejecting Him as a nation, than I would be worried about Israel.
The U.S. *only* option is “national repentance” and short of that — I’m afraid the U.S. is “done for”...
Given the seriousness of the Iranian situation, I hesitate to focus on trifles and be hypercritical, but with the photo angle, the huge ice cream cone, the too-big shirt with its pocket halfway to the floor and sleeves too long, the vacant and dopey expression, and the context of Obama’s general inaction on Iran, all I can think is that Obama looks more child than president. The ice cream does look pretty good though.
