The best & the brightest on the left go into politics. The best on the right run their own businesses. So it is no surprise that the left is far more adept, even expert at the art of hardball politics. And they are telling us something profound.
The left is telling us something many feel, many find as a hunch, that Sarah Palin is the most dangerous threat to the Øbama administration with no close second. The left is telling us this by their "over the top" attacks. Not just the Letterman assaults, but the constant barrage of grievances filed against her in Alaska. The attacks every day on Palin for no apparent reason -- except that the left seems to see her quite differently from any Republican candidate. A difference of kind, not of degree.
I know, unbelievable, huh?
It so rarely happens and all....
It's possible. Everybody knows Sarah and most have a strong opinion about her, positive or negative. Myth Romney is the equivalent of a generic "any Republican". Most people don't know much about him, therefore have no strong negative opinion, and can assume whatever positive attributes they want to. That's why an unnamed candidate always polls better than a real one.
Not me. I was jazzed by her speeches. She makes me feel like she is very capable of protecting this country! Too bad for you, though.
I do have a smidgen of integrity. So many freepers were saying one thing and I didn’t want to be Gomer Pyle and out of step So I went to youtube and pulled up some Palin stuff to see if I was wrong or too harsh. After review I was probably too soft. I never watched the Couric interview and sadly, Palin was just lost. Maybe it was stage fright. I also scared myself when I watched the Fareed Zakaria spot because we both picked up on the oil revenue thing. I SWEAR, I did not plagiarize him on the Saudi Arabia thing I said earlier. That was my own independent thought.Same on some of his other ideas.
Nobodys perfect and Biden sure isn’t no rocket scientist, but I have to stand by my guns and say Palin needs a little more time to age on the political vine. And this really hurts, but I think I’d trust Hillary more in the White House than Palin, and I’m having seizures as I write this because my opinion of Hillary is pretty darn low.
parsy, who is having flashbacks about Sidney Blumenthal and thinks he is going to be sick
Oh well. I heartily disagree with you. Who do you support for 2012 again?
No one really lights my bulb. Gingrich is smart enough but can’t win. Bill o’reilly isn’t a politician. Huckabee is probably best chance the GOP has. Maybe a conservative democrat will emerge.
parsy, can’t wait to see the state of the union in 2012
Alaska's National Guard is in charge of our first line of T-PR (Theatre-Pacific Rim) strategic missile defense of the North American Continent from Russia, Northern China and North Korea. Palin is Commander in Chief. You better hope she knows enough right now, genius.
Save the inane democrat talking points for your frisky, limp-wristed lib buddies who are prolly weally impwessed by it.
Leave the discussion to the adults, okay?
;-/
If I don’t interact with adults, how will I ever learn? As far as Palin, I sure hope she isn’t the best chance conservatism has.
parsy, who’s mommy has just brought lunch down to the basement.
I believe Sarah Palin could be president in 2012. If we get that far.
********************
So do I. Things may be a mess by then, but we’ll get that far (I believe).
Parsifal: Whom God still owes some brains
It's amazing how she seems to scare them, isn't it?
please add me to your list.
Thanks.
Hahahahahahaha!
A Marxist with a beanie on his head!
Consider it stolen. ;o)
Love the ‘Cuda graphic!
She’s a real beauty in more ways than one.
Presidents don't NEED to be 'Albert Einsteins'. IN fact, someone as brilliant as Einstein would probably never be elected, because those people are too focused on their own areas of expertise. As long as a President is smart enough to choose people who are experts in their field for the areas in which they're needed, that's OK by me.
No, despite the threat they perceive from Palin, potential evil doers fear even more the backlash that would result.
Including elimination of all involved.
“I like Palins sincerity, but lets face it, Albert Einstein she aint”
I don’t want to enjoy making you look foolish, but you’re really asking for it:
Give specific, well-explained examples supporting your claim. No cliches, sarcasm or other forms of running away from a challenge you can’t meet.
You must demonstrate that you can describe in concrete and abstract detail what intelligence is (including all relevant varieties and on all applicable levels) and from there show how your claim can possibly be accurate.
I say you’re doing nothing but brainlessly repeating clueless political talking points.
I would ask that you take notice of the huge difference between your weak attitude of surrender compared with the fighting spirit of conservatives.
And you’re very wrong on the details.
Trust me. You won’t get to enjoy it. IMHO, the best abstarct definition of intelligence is the ability to acquire and apply knowledge. The quicker andbetter, the more intelligent. In a concrete fashion, intelligence is the accumulation of usable knowledge. For example,a doctor,is intelligent by virtue of his acquired knowledge even tho he may be a slow learner.
Palin, is probably a quick learner and thus intelligent, abstractly speaking. Concretely, her acquired knowledge seems to come up a little short. If you doubt this, go to youtube and the palin favorites and the palin/couric interview.
Sadly, Fareed hit the nail on the head. She didn’t even get the question.
parsy, who doesn’t brainlessly repeat brainlessly repeat, brain...oops.
“I like her but she wont have a chance in hell in winning I;m sorry to say”
Don’t you mean to say: “I don’t support Palin, not for anything having to do with politics but for completely irrelevant reasons I don’t really understand.”
So is the ability to acquire knowledge abstract or concrete in nature? You seem to be confused about this.
