Larry Gwinn’s “Baptism”, and Colonel Anthony Herbert's “Soldier” (I read that one already more than 30 years ago) in order to gain a better perspective.
I really do not know where you are coming from, but if it simply to piss some folks off, then you are almost as good at that as I can be.
It can be fun, but FR.com is not a six flags park.
That has been made clear to me.
I know that you perceive.
Some on the conservative side just will find any reason to not like her. Those are the same ones who did not like ANY of the other candidates.
They ALL forgot about what the election was about now, didn’t they! NONE of them read my tag line.
Really, they aren't liberals. They are probably more conservative if anything. All of them religious. They are just terribly uninformed, and are easily manipulated. The "nightly news" and what crap the see in the newspapers form their opinions about all things political. I sometimes try to talk sense to them in a subtle way, but I don't like injecting my politics into my workplace. I'm of the belief that religion and politics is best left out of the workplace. I'm afraid the country is full of uninformed people like those I work with. It's as if the media tells them what to think, and they swallow it hook, line, and sinker.
“Wrong. They go into politics because they.... “
They want to WIN. Something many on our side need to pay attention to.
This from a poster who ends every post talking about themself in third person....
Most of us live in the woods and ain’t counted by census. We’re preparing to invade Texas in the future. Check out the American Idol voting. We almost slipped up there and gave our selves away. Keep this quiet, but google “Kris Allen 38 million Arkansas.”
parsy, who lives here and knows.
Thank You for your timely response.
I have, in my library, “The Art of War”, and “The Prince”.
And, I have actually read them.
Now, your other “Classics” escape me.
But, I did see something about “Horton Hatches The Egg”.
Perhaps, that is what you were (thinking) about.
Read a book, such as “The Federalist Papers”, “The Gulag Archipelago”, Or “Atlas Shrugs”.
I expect a book report by the end of the month.
You are either 12 yr. old or 42 living in your mother’s basement.
No, I really don’t try to irritate anyone. It happens, but that is normal when someone goes against the grain. I think conservatism is based on common sense and often that gets lost in slogans and dogma.
For example, I think big business is a power center that most GOP types worship instead of examining. Some of my most pitched battles have been over minimum wages and how I think they have been kept far too low. Yet, on defense, I believe in a strong military. On welfare, I think it should be a temporary form of help and done right when it is done.
On books, you might like a two volume set on Guerilla Warfare. It was put out by the History Book Club. Also read Patton’s Memoirs if you haven’t.
parsy, whose copy is buried somewhere.
Done read all of them, including as I remember a Volume 3 of Gulag. Am I delusional there?
Read Atlas about 4 or 5 times. I think Dagny should go into the dominatrix business if the railroad fails.
parsy, actually did a post on FR years ago about a seance with Ayn Rand. Wish I could find it.
“parsy, who has to go tinkle”.
You’ve been tinkling on yourself all night.
Until the wave function collapses I could be both or neither. But I bet you got a wake up call when you did that google? Didn’t know there were so durn many of us, did you?
parsy, who is a proud Arkansan!
LOL!
parsy, who is busy searching the living room for a spy cam.
Don’t have to Google, I know the states who have populations less than San Diego.
Wow, and you say Palin doesn't sound too bright?
You're going to want to take some Ibuprofen for that monster hangover you'll have in the morning...
Sorry. You're co-workers may be good people, but they've been absorbed by the Borg. You need to tune them out, if you don't want to be next.
Your waffling about Sarah Palin is an early symptom.
Our side has to realize what evil we are up against and give no quarter.
We're definitely on the same page with that. I got the same impression reading those wacked out posts.
I have not yet begun to drink! And no, she really doesn’t come off sounding right sometimes. Arkansas is a very Zen state. We live in the here and now. That is why I always provide my state of being. This enhances our perception of reality. That is why Clinton was so good at what he did.
If Palin wasn’t a half-bubble off plumb, Tina Fey would not have such an easy time with her. I think some of this will wear off as she gets a little older and has to compete in a national forum instead of Eskimoville, Alaska. With a few more years under her belt, I am pretty sure she will grow.
parsy, who is like in touch with the universe.
Hey there, the trolls and children are making fools of themselves again
