Really, they aren't liberals. They are probably more conservative if anything. All of them religious. They are just terribly uninformed, and are easily manipulated. The "nightly news" and what crap the see in the newspapers form their opinions about all things political. I sometimes try to talk sense to them in a subtle way, but I don't like injecting my politics into my workplace. I'm of the belief that religion and politics is best left out of the workplace. I'm afraid the country is full of uninformed people like those I work with. It's as if the media tells them what to think, and they swallow it hook, line, and sinker.
Sorry. You're co-workers may be good people, but they've been absorbed by the Borg. You need to tune them out, if you don't want to be next.
Your waffling about Sarah Palin is an early symptom.

Agree 1000% . I’m in Japan , but thanks to FR know more about what is happening in the world than many friends and family members in the US . I can count how many times I have spoken with them about this or that topic only to find out they didn’t know the score . And most of these folks are not liberals .
I don’t get it. I hear anti Palin trash all of the time. Of course im on a college campus which feels like a vaccum away from society. what could people possibly have against Governor Palin ?
She was so popular after her speech at the RNC last year. I always thought a first impression is what mattered most. what changed ?
