Last week we SAW how the DUmmies were getting all excited about a remote control device that could shut off TV sets that were running Fox News. But what happens when the DUmmie leaves the room? Most likely the TV will revert to Fox News since it is by far the most popular cable news channel out there. Therefore, the DUmmies have to work even harder to keep folks from watching Fox News. One way is what a certain DUmmie did as chronicled in his THREAD, "I just complained to a Macy's manager about having Fox News on their TVs." This censorship matter is of such importance to the DUmmies that it currently sits at the very top of their "Greatest" page. So let us now watch the DUmmies get obsessed that people out there are watching Fox News in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, noting that Macy's will probably now get requests to turn the channel BACK to Fox news is in the [brackets]:

I was shopping on Saturday in a San Diego Macy's and noticed that outside the fitting rooms were small TV monitors and a seating area for -- I guess -- bored husbands waiting for their wives to finish shopping. Fox News was on. I changed the channel to a game show. Apparently, it was programmed so those were the only two choices. I went into a different department and there it was again. I changed it again.

I didn't bother a saleswoman about it; there were so few on the floor anyway, and they don't have any authority. This morning I called and spoke with a manager who both agreed with me that it was propaganda, and also said she would tell the store manager about my complaint and try to make sure that Fox News was taken off the channel selection.
[Hmmm... Thanx for the info. Now we know that it was the San Diego Macy's and that they have a leftwing manager who has agreed to censor Fox News from their TV sets. How much you want to bet that your dopey post will end up having the OPPOSITE effect that you intended. Any DUFU fans in the San Diego area want to check out the Macy's there and see if they actually acceded to the demand of a crazed censorious DUmmie?]

his is par for the course most places... Honestly almost any place I go with public tv's tuned to news channels, it's always fox news. Stores, the gym, lunch rooms at business places....

When I was working at Cymer in San Diego, ...the TV's in the lunch room where always on the Fox News Channel. All the TV's were being fed off of a DirecTV box that was locked in a cabinet, but lucky for me the cabinet had glass doors. So, I purchased a cheap Universal Remote control, and programmed it for the DirecTV box. Everyday my friends and I would sneak the remote into the cafeteria and find a seat relatively in front of the video cabinet, and secretly change the channel to something other then FNC, usually CNN or MSNBC, sometimes ESPN.

That is how you do it, talk directly to the store manager, good job. I did this at the local Hospital, why they needed Fox news or any TV on in the waiting room was beyond me, and the next time I took the wife it wasn't on Fox news.
[Talk directly to the store manager. Post it in DUmmieland so it will be DUFUed. Then watch as the San Diego Macy's is forced to return to the Fox News channel once again by a public outraged by them agreeing to be censored...if they did.]
I did the same at a BOFA branch. They play CNN now. Gotta make the noise.

Tell them that you don't approve of pornography -- and Faux News IS political pornography. And thanks for taking action. I have in the past complained, and some businesses have changed the station, at least temporarily.

Now you are talking....It is this kind of vigilance that pays off...If enough of us do it. When I was in the local hospital the same thing happened to me....they now have cnn on all the time which isn't a whole lot better but its a step.

I complained about Fox News being on in our bank branch. Now they're tuned to CNN all day.

they play that crap at the Macys in the Los Angeles area also and i have seen it at that waiting room area just outside the dressing rooms.

My Macy's runs FOX outside it's dressing rooms, too. Do all Macy's exclusively show FOX?

It will be interesting to see if FOX is still on their TV's when you go back. It is bad business to risk offending customers with propaganda. They should have known better.

I just got back from a trip in Missouri and a couple different McDonalds had a big flat-screen on the wall with Fox News blaring. Anyone else ever seen it in a McDonalds?

I have an account at the DU and am within 100 of the magic post “1000” (by hanging out in the lounge) when I can really start tweaking those idiots without much fear of getting tombstoned. Another few weeks and I’ll launch “Operation Dawg”..HA..
And if the DUmmies are foiled in this censorship attempt then their heads will EXPLODE especially since it was the DUmmie FUnnies that was instrumental in thwarting their censorship attempt at Macy's.
In fact, I'll bet this idiot is one of the code pinkos that we (FReepers and Protest Warriors) ran off when they tried to protest the Naval Hospital here.
Charles! I think the DUmmie was referring to his “life partner” not his business partner. So it was his life partner that got the channel changed at the dealership he works at.

I usually notice CNN on most television sets. That or Oprah. Sometimes Fox news. To be honest though, I am not a huge fan of Fox News either. I wish they’d all show 24 hours of Mythbusters instead :)

I will check them all, even the ones not on the list that are close (county not city) that are popular yet still close.
Some "innocent" pastor?? Believe me, any pastor who's "been in the business" for even a few years has seen sin in all kinds of forms! And "shacking-up" is probably the most common type of public, manifest sin we have to deal with these days.
Pastors see it all, understand the depths of human depravity better than anyone, and so we're not shocked by anything.

I did not know that Macy’s sells birkinstocks and tie-dyed T-shirts. I must have missed those sections the last time I was there.
