Let’s admit the truth here. Miss California is being demonized for two reasons.
1) She is a professing, Bible-believing Christian, even though she is imperfect, as we all are.
2) She had the guts to say what most Americans agree with, and which has been demonstrated every single time it has been put to a vote, that marriage is to be only between a man and a woman.
The media and the militant pro-same-sex lobby now will try to destroy her, as they are doing right now. This is how they have always operated, and they will try to do so to any prominent person who opposes their agenda.
Does anyone with an IQ above room temperature and a shred of moral clarity honestly believe that if Carrie Prejean had caved to the thug Perez Hilton’s loaded questions, turned her back on her beliefs and told a lie that she believed in same-sex marriage, that she would be going through the scrutiny she is going through right now? Of course not. She would be celebrated by the liberal media as the most enlightened young woman in the world. And she may well be Miss USA.
When Perez Hilton, self-proclaimed “Queen of All Media” asked the loaded question, “Do you believe same-sex marriage should be legal in all 50 states?, “ one might have wrongly inferred that he was after an honest answer.
This is not the case. What he was really saying is, “I’ve got you trapped. There is no way you can answer this question without me using it to advance my personal agenda. I have an axe to grind. Now give me my sound bite or prepare to suffer my wrath.”
To further the hypocrisy, this is the same crowd that screams bloody murder that anyone would dare try to impose their beliefs on them.
As most know by now, while Miss California answered the question diplomatically, falteringly, and ultimately honestly, the hateful Hilton wasted no time in making a YouTube video in which he called her a “dumb b*tch” and later in an interview with MSNBC, said “I almost called her the c-word.” (Video link at bottom).
This is the level of imbecilic, junior high mudslinging that passes for reasonable discourse from the intolerant left.
Ironically, every time the issue of same-sex marriage has been put to a vote in any state, it has been defeated soundly by the majority of voters. Every. Single. Time. Even in California.
I wonder what kind of filthy epithets the half-wit Perez Hilton would sling at the majority? I’m sure he has some vile and juvenile things to say.
As Carrie Prejean has said in interviews since, it was more important to her to stand by her Christian faith than to win the contest. That is why her message faltered at first: because she was first going to take the coward’s way out and say what he wanted to hear, then she decided to tell the truth.
This is remarkable wisdom and courage she has shown. Not everyone has either the guts or the moral integrity it takes to do that. To say “Even if it costs me everything I put into winning this contest, I will not say something that is so at odds with what I truly believe.”
Personally, I would have very little respect for her if she did anything else. There was no other right thing to do.
She knows she did the right thing, and she has said as much.
Perez Hilton himself said he gave her a score of zero, not based on style, but because he was crushed and hurt by the answer she gave. He said he wanted to call her the c-word, and he wanted a miss USA that was inclusive.
The lesson he and his confederates would have us learn is “No matter what you really believe, you better agree with us publicly, or you will be sorry you didn’t.”
How much is Perez being demonized by the liberal media, for ambushing her with such a polarizing and devastating question? None.
You see, is the “offended party;” a poor, disenfranchised “victim” in a world where militant homosexual activists are both a protected and feared class, and anyone who stands up to them, even in such a sweet and diplomatic way as Miss Prejean, is to be steamrollered and annihilated.
So much for “tolerance” and “diversity,” huh?
To these mean-spirited activists, it is not enough that she not get Miss USA, her life must be made a living hell, to serve as a warning to anyone else who dares speak their unacceptable (albeit mainstream) thoughts.
Welcome to the new America.
I admire this young woman immensely, not only because of her class, but because she refused to betray her personal beliefs for a title from a dishonorable organization, which will be forgotten in a year.

Perez might not be like other homosexuals, but all groups who have certain interests that they want looked after have to make sure that the people representing them act decently and civilized.
A loaded question like that shouldn’t have gotten past the screening, if they do any.

Had some other contestant gotten the question and had the courage to give the same answer, Carrie Prejean might be Miss USA right now, and some other girl might be under attack..

They hate God, so they hate anyone or anything that reminds them of God. They are of the world and cannot understand spiritual things.
