Thats what Leonard Riggio, founder and chairman of the Barnes & Noble bookstore chain says. According to him, anyone who would dare place a book with a picture of a monkey next to a book with a picture of Obama has committed a hate crime, and belongs in a federal prison.
This malicious and despicable act is nothing short of a hate crime, which should be punishable under federal statutes.
Of course, Barnes & Noble is always screaming free speech and stop censorship when Christians ask them not to sell blasphemous or obscene books. Free speech is for porno; its not for ridiculing Obama.
Anyone got the photo of the barnes and nobels where they put Obama books in the religious section of their store???
I wonder if that “monkey book display” either never occurred in a Barnes and Noble store or the photo of the display was set up deliberately (possibly even electronically), to allow Chairman Riggio an opportunity to publicly express his love for his Messiah.
“... time warp somewhere around 1971...”
My high school years were 1966 - 1970 and I understand what you mean about Barnes and Noble.
But if you really a good trip with Simon and Mr. Peabody in “The Way-Back Machine” try spending a weekend in Asheville, North Carolina.
No, but it could be considered racist (”hate crimes”) do not exist (thought crimes do)!
My family and I used to spend some time in and around Asheville on summer vacations in the mountains, and we thought it was a very nice town at the time. We ate at the Grove Park Inn whenever the timing was right, and the outdoor terrace overlooking the town was a pleasantly cool spot for a summer lunch. A tour of the Biltmore House is a must for a first time visitor to the area, but once you've been there it's not worth the cost to see it again IMHO.
Now I live only about 100 miles from Asheville, but we haven't been there for quite a few years. We have discussed a possible visit to Asheville with a couple who have spent time there recently. However, they say that a considerable portion of the downtown has become a major hangout for persons of indeterminate gender, if you get my drift. That's not my idea of an enjoyable destination for a pleasure trip, or any other kind of trip for that matter. And that's really too bad, Asheville was a very nice little city 25 years ago.
It is a hate crime; I expect the monkey will hire a lawyer and file suit.
Barnes and Noble huh? Hmm, thanks for the idea. I’m going to go a bit more frequently now.
Monkey books is all it will take to make these liberals to foam at the mouth? Gee, they had no problem calling W the chimp? Fair play...
An uncanny resemblance!
You could I suppose, but why would you want to insult dodo birds? AFAIK they were harmless before they became extinct.
Speaking of harmless and extinct, that's what Biden will be after his next few years in well deserved obscurity. His future career after the VP gig ends will probably center around shining the Magic Kenyan's shoes every evening and Simonizing the limo on Saturday afternoons.
That is not my monkey.
No, just tell the xenophallophilic Pretender to spank the monkeys for such an affront to his exalted personage!
The little weasel will probably just send hisballet slippers. i think he wants to have the child of The Anointed One..
