I went to see Slumdog Millionaire the other night, just looking to be entertained. Instead, I found myself being indoctrinated with pro-Islam propaganda. (WARNING: read no further if you don't want me to "ruin" the plot for you).
The protagonists of the film are brothers Jamal and Salim Malik, young Muslim boys from the slums of Mumbai, India. In one of the opening scenes, Jamal and Salim are orphaned when an angry Hindu mob attacks their slum while yelling, "Kill them! They are Muslims!" The Hindu mob kills their mother, thus leaving the poor Muslim youths to fend for themselves. Where have we seen this before? Bollywood, Palliwood -- it's all the same. Of course, no mention of the fact that the "the Mohammedan conquest of India was probably the bloodiest story in history."
Interestingly, this bit of pro-Islam propaganda was not in the original book. Indeed, it appears to have been specially written just for the movie:
The Mumbai Hindu-Muslim riots played no role in the book, as the ethnic heritage of the main character was uncertain. In the book, the character of Jamal is instead named 'Ram Mohammad Thomas'. He was given a Hindu name, Muslim name and Christian name by the village elders in order to maintain the balance between all the religious communities after his mother abandoned him after birth.
Perhaps CAIR was consulted on the movie?

the riot scene happened right after a similar crowd of muslims
ambushed an entire train full of Hindus returning from a pilgrimage to a Hindu holy place and set the train on fire ,even keeping the passengers from fleeing the flames by beating them back inside with bamboo staffs , until they all burned to death . Men , women and children .
When will the Indian muzzies get it ? What goes around comes around . Bollywood should make a rebuttal film .
Didn’t see, don’t plan till it’s on cable. The gal who was up front at the award ceremony though was very hot

I've not seen this piece of propaganda, and this is the first description of its plot that I've read.
If islam gets the upper hand in this nation, Hollywood people will be the first to be tossed out of upper-story windows.
I found the film enjoyable. Sometimes, a movie is just a movie.
Hooray for the Hindu Hit Squad (if there is one)!
Since I have two chihuahuas, I watched the trailer for “Beverly Hills Chihuahua”.
To my horror the plot incorporated running subplots about how good open borders are and how illegal immigrants are wrongly looked down upon in the USA ... all of this in the guise of chihuahuas on this side of the border trying to get chihuahuas on the Mexican side to immigrate illegally.
Insideous! [No, I did not watch the movie].
Haven’t seen it - don’t plan to even when released on DVD. There’s not much coming from Hollyweird the past X number of years that’s really been worth paying the price of theatre tickets.
I knew it!
That’s why I don’t want the kids to watch it.
They’ve heard enough from me to be able to decode the BS though.
I’m trying to raise them right.
Shh... go to surf the channel.....
I was suprised that an Indian picture should have won the Oscars because they usually reflect things that Hollywood hates. I thought it was probably because this one, on the other hand, depicted a dreary view of life and was suitably violent and depressing for Hollywood. Now I realize the true reason.
This is disgusting. Learning that it’s a Muslim propaganda piece makes me even more disgusted than I was before. But I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.
Thanks for the warning. I was actually planning to spend ten bucks to see this movie. They’ll never get a dime from me.
Pro-jihadi agitprop won the Oscar? Shocking, I say, shocking.
The Indian version of Who wants to be a Millionaire ? has a cash prize of 1 crore Rupees which is 10 million rupees .
10 million Rupees is $ 197121.32 .
I was just joking - I didn't know what was their payout (nor the actual dollar to rupee conversion rate) -- or even if they had such a show. Thanks for the information - sounds like real money ...
Now the Zimbabwe version of 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire' - might be a different story.
Defenestration would become them..
Yep. These *stars* nude scenes will make them the first targets of Muslim extremists. Oh, the irony of it!
I, too, was thinking they're trying to sway kids that illegals are the cat's meow. Not gonna watch either movie.
