Sometimes I think the internet has created a level of passivism—people are blogging all over the place, but Washington is not paying attention”

How true! Most people now won’t go demonstrate since that would mean turning off their computers and leaving the house.

(...or not getting to watch that movie they rented)

America rants at home now. The population is safely under control. The government can do whatever it wants.

<<<Exactly-—in the 80’s there was no internet—I do remember the news covering folks converging on Washington demonstrating, etc. Again, I just really want to DO something instead of just ranting with my fingers.

You are also right about population being safely under control with internet...is the internet the new opiate of the masses? :(

At this point I think praying is the most needed action.

Sending emails, blogging, etc., doesn’t do much good, obviously. And maybe just a few hundred people could be rounded up for a demonstration. But prayer does still work.

God is still in absolute control. He is King of kings, and Lord of lords.

That is the comfort we have as we see this world changing for the worse every day. God will eventually make all things right...and in the meantime, He does still hear the prayers of His people. He even says to pray for our enemies.

Our greatest weapon—prayer—is the least used.
