ICYMI --- The Senate just killed a THUNE Ammendment which would have replaced the ENTIRE ammount the so called stimulus with a CHECK to every taxpayer.. this would have given about 5,000 bucks to every single taxpayer, and about 10,000 bucks to every couple filing jointly.
61 idiots voted to kill it... if you think this would have been a better stimulous that the pork that is currently being debated than i suggest you call your senator if they are one of the 61
Since all of the money is gonna be pissed away, that would have been a better way to do it.
Passing it on... vote has not yet posted to Senate website..
Nobody would starve this year or be homeless with this type bailout. Obama hates the poor.
Two problems with that idea:
1. Money only went to TAXPAYING Americans—nothing to the poor, welfare recipients.
2. No PORK, and therefore, NO PAYBACK!
exactly my point... I knew it would fail.. but since 61 senators killed it on a proceduarl motion.. we did not FORCE the Senators to vote YES or NO on a REAL STIMULUS

EXACTLY.. the vote they DID NOT want you to see.. I think it will be roll call vote #68 or #69.. I lost count... I will post it as soon as it appears on the senate website
They just put the thing up in the first place to kill time so that Sessions could not put up his amendment regarding E-Verify. It took past midnight for the Thune one and Reid said they were going to stop at midnight.
He had been waiting all day and they told him they would get to it. They lied. They told him they did not have time because they had to do this last Thune amendment which they knew they were going to kill.
These people are sick!

Adjourned. Also Sessions had earlier made the announcement that he would be leaving Washington Tonight.
anyone following this needs to know exactly what is going on.. WE NEED 41 NO votes on the cloture motion or we are done... we need to work through the weekend to get 41 senators to vote NO on the cloture motion..
