Here is video of Gov. Mike Huckabee interviewing Ann Coulter on his show yesterday, and taking her to task for some of the things she said about him during the campaign last year. Huckabee was very direct, but Coulter holds her own . . . . (watch video)

I saw it. Ann was pretty good, like she was not much on the defensive. She didn't bring her big guns to this show. It's fun to see her in a mostly-friendly forum.

Ann's grudge against Huck is the same as mine...he manipulated, with McCain, to get Romney out of the running.

Huck can say he’s for or against anything. That’s easy. I think his record as governor speaks to him as more than a bit liberal.

Imagine if he had been a Thompson conservative. Or even a Mitt Romney conservative. He’d have walked away with the primary.

Huck is a likeable guy, but he's a little too whiny to be presidential.

Ann Coulter also said Romney was better than Fred Thompson and claimed Giuliani and Romney's liberal policies were acceptable because they came from liberal states. I'm amazed Ann Coulter still has worshippers on this forum. She's the Republican Michael Moore and has made false attacks on more than one occassion.

And I'm still waiting for her to "campaign for the Democrats" since McCain was the nominee. (Ann actually argued that Hillary was more conservative than McCain) She sure backed off that "promise" when she was backed into a corner and it became a reality.

Man, she had the deer in the headlights stare about whether she thought Duncan Hunter was stupid for supporting Huckabee.

Probably one of the few times I've seen that. And the get out of the bind, she changed the subject. Just WOW!

No she changed her tune with the nomination by McCain of Palin.

I agree with you there. Though, I had problems with Romney, as well. But I don’t like The Huckster because he DID support the idea of in-state tuition for illegals; he HAS come out in favor of big government.

I like The Huckster as a talk show host, because he is well-spoken and folksy. I have no use for him as a politician, though.

That’s a fact.

Coulter also said Romney was better than Fred Thompson a Well, so would pretty much anyone else, honestly.

One could say Ann had balls to be on his show. But then again, Ann is a savvy business woman and has a book she needs to hawk.

Bottom line is the Pube Party had its nut cut off and force fed to them by Democrats. And Bush was the one who handed the Dems the knife while he sat by and watched.

huckabee support mccain, and mccain leans left too much. He needs to be asked this. Also ask huckabee if he supports the $750b bailout and the car bailout and if he agrees with bush that he sacrificed capitalism to save capitalism

“Man, she had the deer in the headlights stare about whether she thought Duncan Hunter was stupid for supporting Huckabee.”

I think he was stupid for supporting Huck. I’ll never figure that one out. Except for the fact there really was no conservative left to support, so why not.

the $750b was the last straw, anyone who say they’re conservative that supports it, are no conservative. I think too many lost their spine in supporting it.

Huckabee ran for one reason — to keep the Mormon from winning.

I don’t think it was so much deer in the headlights—I think she was trying to come up with something witty to say.
