Crime in Chicago has been in the news lately, but it is nothing new. Historically it dates back over a hundred years. From the tale of the Gray Wolves

The 1890s Chicago City Council was notorious for corrupt political practices orchestrated by a faction of its aldermen known as the Gray Wolves. So named because they were viewed as preying upon the defenseless public, the Gray Wolves were led by First Ward aldermen “Bathhouse” John Coughlin and “Hinky Dink” Mike Kenna, and Johnny Powers of the Nineteenth Ward. These elected officials were not only skilled at trading votes for favors, but once in office they excelled in making municipal decisions to profit themselves financially.

There is a little bit of a ‘plant site’ up now called worldnexus.info. But, back in the day, the actually website, rather a whole web community, was world-nexus.com. World-nexus.com even use to point to worldnexus.info (share an address).
The main site is down now, still in net archives; but it wasn’t just a site, it was a portal to an underground tunnel (in not tech speak) of an entire extranet community. This was the pit for the net denizens, hackers, the people that really owned net traffick. From this portal/main splash, you could find your way through to anything from free source codes for site building to hard core porn, called porn-nexus. Everything was out in the open. You could pick up tools to spy on your kids computer activities, you could spy on other countries.
Orascom funded them. They called it funding for ‘English Language Net tools’ or something. It was for building English Language spy sites, like WebOffice and Electionmall, just as an example. They are the ones that made all the pretty little gadgets and gizmos that go on websites in point and click fashion that inserted Browser Cams and backdoors into websites.
Huawei, which has been named a security threat by CFIUS, NATO, Rand, et al, stole the line access codes and copied their own brand of nice, cheap CISCO routers.
They have been releasd globally. They are called CISCO Nexus or 3Com-Huawei-H3C Nexus.

Standing behind Rezko is Talat Othman, a leader in the American Muslim community in Illinois and an extremely successful Arab American businessman.
It was Othman who introduced Rezko to former Illinois governor Jim Edgar and it was Othman who aided Rezko in gaining access to Illinois political circles (Hanania, “Arabs in Chicago discover political clout and controversy”).
Rezko was also recognized as “Entrepreneur of the Decade” by Othman’s Arab-American Business and Professional Association (ibid).
Othman has a close relationship with M. Yaqub Mirza, a naturalized Pakistani businessman and physicist (Trento 336).
Othman and Mirza were co-chairmen of the Islamic Society of North America 2001 Convention (336). The two were also involved in Amana Mutual Funds Trust, an Islamic mutual fund which, according to investigative journalist Joseph Trento, “specializes in investments that are consonant with Islamic beliefs” (336).
Othman sits on Amana’s board and Mirza served as the mutual fund’s chairman (336).
On March 20, 2002 a U.S. Treasury task force known as Green Quest raided 14 homes and businesses believed to be involved in terrorism financing that were affiliated with Mirza (Guidera and Simpson, “Agents Raid Properties Affiliated with Chairman of Islamic Fund”).
According to Guidera and Simpson, the Green Quest investigators were “most interested in Mr. Mirza’s role as an officer in the Saar Foundation, a nonprofit started in the 1970s by members of the Saudi Arabia’s al-Rajihi family, which has interest in banking, construction, and real estate” (ibid).
Stephen Schwartz identifies the Saar Foundation as the “keystone” to the Mirza-related network (”Wahhabis in the Old Dominion”).
The hidden hand of the Muslim Brotherhood can be identified through the Saar Foundation’s connection with a shell company known as Al-Taqwa (Schwartz, “Wahhabis in the Old Dominion”).
The Al-Taqwa shell game was originally based in Switzerland and had as one of its leading figures a notorious Nazi disciple named Ahmed Huber (ibid).
It was an extensive network that included companies based in the Bahamas, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein (Hosenball, “Attacking the Money Machine”). Al Taqwa even had a foothold in the United States until after September 11 when its assets were frozen and its operations were shut down by a U.S. presidential order (”Wahhabis in the Old Dominion”).
According to a Newsweek investigation, the Al Taqwa network “was set up in the 1980s by prominent members of the Muslim Brotherhood” (”Attacking the Money Machine”). Al-Taqwa’ chairman, Youssef Nada, even admitted to being a member of the Brotherhood for 50 years (ibid).
Apparently, the Green Quest raids made Othman extremely nervous.
Two weeks after the raids, Othman and several other Muslim activists met with Secretary of the Treasury Paul O’Neill to protest the raids (Trento 337). Was Othman afraid that the investigation would connect him to the Muslim Brotherhood’s plan for a “grand jihad”?
Four individuals who were targets of the investigation were affiliated with Amana, the mutual fund where Othman serves as a trustee (337). It is also interesting to note that another Amana board member, Samir Salah, is known to have ran a Caribbean branch of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Al-Taqwa network (”Wahhabis in the Old Dominion”).
When Obama tries to downplay his connections to Rezko, is he merely trying to conceal his poor judgement in the realm of campaign finance? The 44th President may be trying to hide a much more disturbing reality from the eyes of the public.
That reality is the fact that our own government, in league with the power elite, will continue collaborating with America’s enemies. The “grand Jihad” proclaimed by Akram in his 1991 memorandum does not only constitute the Muslim Brotherhood’s crusade to destroy Western civilization. It also constitutes the power elites’s war on the plebians.”
Not discounting what you say, but, is it really possible that Daddy Daley’s machine totally died? I find it hard to believe that FOD’s (Sr. & Jr.) are not at all involved.

Who is this tiny mandarin McKenna? Well, McKenna’s father is a billionaire businessman who, along with his clique and claque, helps finance the Daley Machine. Illinois Democrats elect a ‘state central committee.’ Each congressional district gets to vote at the general primary election for the state committee representative. For Republicans, however, such direct democracy is a dirty word. In order for the Daley Machine to control the Republican Party, Republican voters are not allowed to vote for state committee members. There is a complicated, indirect process-always rigged-by which McKenna stooges get to select the Republican Party leadership in Illinois. McKenna is the little man on the wedding cake who ‘leads’ this assemblage of hacks and incompetents.
The current Andy McKenna surfaced in 2004, when Democrats were concerned about losing a U. S. Senate election. Democrats put up McKenna as the Daley Machine candidate to run in the Republican primary. McKenna promptly hired one of the Daley Machine’s sleaziest and most corrupt lawyers as his legal adviser, Andrew Raucci.
Since the indictment of Governor Rod Blagojevich, the ‘national media’ (whatever they are) have been speculating that Illinois Republicans may have a chance to recapture the U. S. Senate seat vacated by Barack Obama. Fat chance. Sadly, if you are hoping for Illinois Republicans to lead the fight for reform in Illinois, dream on. McKenna will do everything he can to sabotage the senate selection process or any efforts at reform in either the Republican Party or state politics. McKenna’s minions do everything they can to select ‘losers’ who will lie down and die for their Democratic opponents. McKenna is a winner—at losing.

President Obama wants to give more due process and equal protection under the law to prisoners of war held at Gitmo, then to a sitting, twice-elected Governor from his home state.

If you want to witness a cover-up, then step right up to the three-ring circus called Illinois Politics.
In the first ring, we have Obama, his chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, his first assistant Valerie Jarrett, and his media guru David Axelrod.
They know that the conversations that Obama had with Blagojevich, along with Axelrod, Emanuel and Jarrett, are criminal. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, there was a quid pro quo.
The reason that Patrick “I want to be re-appointed” Fitzgerald stepped in and broke up the recorded conversation before they were ripe, is because he is trying to protect President “Hope/Change” Obama.
If Fitzgerald allowed the taping of the conversations to continue to their logical conclusion, Obama would be among the indicted right now.
That would not look good to the world expecting hope and change from the Land of Lincoln.
Obama will use all of his proxies to, as he likes to say, make sure, that the Governor is kept muzzled and unable to defend himself, because, his defense would doom them. Obama will have Fitzgerald finish Blagojevich off for him without the latter being able to utter a peep.
Imagine the testimony that Blago could give against the President Hope and Change.
In the second ring, we have Mayor Daley and Speaker Madigan, each with their own political agenda and an ax to grind. For different reasons, each wants Blagojevich dead, dead, dead, and now.
Blagojevich is a witness to all of their criminal wrong-doing and can testify against both. Therefore, Daley has gone around publicly calling Blagojevich “cooko”, while Silent Mike twists the knife in Blagojevich’s back looking for his heart.
Ah, the tales that Blago can tell about those two.
In the third ring, we have the members of the Illinois Combine, democrats like DeLeo, Harmon and Schoenberg, and, republicans like Cronin, Saviano, Dillard and Millner, who are wearing dipers nowdays, waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Blago could really tell the whole world about them and their dealings with him that violate all kinds of civil and criminal statutes. Talk about a conspiracy. Blago could bring the whole system down.
Ah, what a show that would be.
In the end, boys and girls, Blago will be left pennyless, his wife and kids will leave him, he will be out of office, disbarred and criminally convicted.
Washed up.
Just before his sentencing, Blago will cut a deal with Fitzgerald, and, in exchange for being put in a witness protection program, will tell all he knows, Jim Laski-like, and will bring down as many people as he can.
That is what psychopaths do.
What a show.
In the meantime, GOP Chair McKenna is busy testifying as a Mayor Daley character witness.

In 1995, State Senator Alice Palmer introduced her chosen successor, Barack Obama, to a few of the district’s influential liberals at the home of two well known figures on the local left: William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.
While Ayers and Dohrn may be thought of in Hyde Park as local activists, they’re better known nationally as two of the most notorious — and unrepentant — figures from the violent fringe of the 1960s anti-war movement.
Now, as Obama runs for president, what two guests recall as an unremarkable gathering on the road to a minor elected office stands as a symbol of how swiftly he has risen from a man in the Hyde Park left to one closing in fast on the Democratic nomination for president.
“I can remember being one of a small group of people who came to Bill Ayers’ house to learn that Alice Palmer was stepping down from the senate and running for Congress,” said Dr. Quentin Young, a prominent Chicago physician and advocate for single-payer health care, of the informal gathering at the home of Ayers and his wife, Dohrn. “[Palmer] identified [Obama] as her successor.”
Obama and Palmer “were both there,” he said.
Obama’s connections to Ayers and Dorhn have been noted in some fleeting news coverage in the past. But the visit by Obama to their home — part of a campaign courtship — reflects more extensive interaction than has been previously reported.

Serious answer. First, Illinois is now a blue state. Two Dem Senators (one of course was Obama, now is Roland Burris), the other is Durbin. Blago is a Dem Gov. Chicago is the home of the Democratic Machine. Our prior Governor before Blago was a Pub, a crooked one in his own right, George Ryan, who ended up in the pokey. So Blago first came in as a “reformer” (what a joke) after the debacle of a fallen Pub Governor, who later ended up in jail.
When it came to reelection time, the Dems in the State rehired him (because a lot of them are politically ignorant or just plain stupid). One main reason was that the Pubs in this State are badly split into two factions, the RINO’s and the Conservatives. A guy named Jim Oberweiss represented the Conservative faction, and a woman named Judy Barr Topinka represented the RINO’s in the primaries. A stalking horse conservative from downstate jumped in to water down the conservative vote, and the RINO woman therefore won in the primaries. Many conservatives didn’t come out to vote for her, or voted for the stalking horse conservative (downstaters). It wasn’t enough to beat back a second Blago win, because Blago curried favor with the blacks in Chicago, and with the Chicago vote plus some downstate Dems votes, he won a second round.
By this time, his own Dem party in the IL Congress couldn’t stand him (in particular, Mike Madigan, Dem Speaker of the House, and his daughter who is IL State Attorney General, Lisa Madigan, father/daughter nepotism), but made a deal with the devil they knew and was a Dem rather than some other Dem they might not have won with. Blago had built up a huge war chest (all that pay to play money) and was financially ready to go when it came to reelection time. The Pubs in this State are openly split now between RINO and Conservatives, and RINO’s keep getting chosen in the primaries and then lose to the Dems in the general election.
Now, into his second term as Gov, the Dems in both Houses for the most part loathe Blago, and can’t wait to unload him, one way or the other. The Pubs can’t stand him either, because he is a nutty narcissist who has been spending us into a hole. He has spent up money our State doesn’t have such as on health coverage for all children in the State, even though our state is billions of dollars in debt. He has tried to get his meathooks into State employee pension plans to spend up the money and in fact has borrowed some already from the pension plans. He wanted to get a new Constitutional Convention passed by referendum to change the Illinois Constitution to make it easier to get access to these pension funds by changing the law, and to gerrymander districts, and change other stuff to the benefit of the Democratic Party. He refused to raise taxes in the State which normally would be a good thing; however, he continued to spend non-existent state money anyway with no money source other than stealing from pension funds, or from other programs. He is a scum bucket.
Hope this explains the situation here in the land of Illinois politics for you.

Certainly she is a long-time friend of and fundraiser for Barack Obama. But her ties to failed and fraudulent real estate deals in Chicago are of the most concern.
Problems including the fact that many of the approximately one thousand housing units were “uninhabitable” and were condemned by federal authorities. Grove Parc Plaza, one of the largest residential housing complexes in Barack Obama’s state senatorial district, has been at the center of a variety of scandals.

".....Attorney Frank Wicker, a 33-year-old do-gooding novice, was thrown off the ballot in the Town's most recent election for the top gun by the "august" Cicero Electoral Board. Wicker allegedly did not have enough signatures on his petitions. He mounted a valiantly hopeless write in campaign with the support of local ecumenical leaders, but his efforts garnered a meager 75 votes. So much for Cicero's two-party system....
LOL! Obama, bless his heart, was only following a time honored tradition when he challenged the signatures on his opponent's petitions. Wonder who taught him that trick?
