What? You mean these people who only want to share in the "American Dream" aren't willing to stay and tough it out during the hard times? Instead they're running for the border? Their border? Here's a report out of Colorado:
A tightening economy and social hostility are driving once-hopeful Mexican immigrants such as Absalom Lopez out of Colorado. Seven years after an illegal crossing that led to abundant work cooking and cleaning, Lopez, his wife and their 6-year-old, Denver-born son plan to chase their dream of opening a tortilla factory in Mexico. They say their $1,000-a- week combined earnings here plummeted in recent months to around $300. They're moving from a $700-a-month rented house in Wheat Ridge to a less costly two-room apartment until they head home to Veracruz next year, Lopez said.
"Mexico's a better place to raise a child. . . . If we stay longer, we'll lose money, because there won't be enough work."

Sounds like their son was born here and is a U.S citizen.
That makes the whole family eligible for subsidized housing. And all sorts of other benifits at the taxpayers expenses. Hopefully, the U.S taxpayers will get a break if these illegals go home.

Speaking of properly raising a child, just what kind of impression do you give that child violating laws to enter a country, earning income without paying your share of taxes to the country that allowed you to work albeit clandestinely, then turn your back on that same country? Hmmmmmmm?

You can save a lot of money to open a tortilla factory when you can get food stamps, housing vouchers, free healthcare, free education & meals for you children, free welfare, social security disability (yes it happens) and endless other benefits illegals get.
Well, maybe there’s a bright side to the economic downturn. All the illegals & can pack it in & move on home with their anchor babies, Sorry if I feel no pity for illegals in this country who are being hurt by the current economy.
I’m currently defending a case where an illegal immigrant is suing because her husband, who was also illegal and had a trucking business staffed entirely by illegals, was killed in an accident by a vehicle operated by people who were “legal”. She claims lost income of $200,000+ per year. Can you imagine the nerve of this lady? Little does she know that that income, illegally gained, is not admissible in the way of damages.
I can’t until we drop that bomb on her and her rapscallion attorney.
