In a word, no.

Conservativism is about individualism.

Individualism requires independent thought.

Liberals (long) ago forgot how to think independently. Now they’re just a mob.

“the new liberalism he will bring to the White House will spur creativity and increase our appreciation for individuality in America”

BS. There is no tolerance for diversity of economic theory, political ideology, religious faiths and traditions, etc. etc.

You can be different just like everybody else.

Of course we’re less creative. We’re burdened by our slavish adherance to those pesky little things called truth and facts.

No, but artists tend to be liberal.

Many politician Republicans act castrated and they never speak up about they obvious regarding Democrats.
If they don’t speak up, who will?

Conservative people though in general are smarter, they are more self reliant, they are better family people IMO and are frustrated as heck by who is their representatives.

What could be a greater testament to the belief in human creativity than the conservative principles of independence and liberty? Liberals are “mind-numbed robots” marching to Marxist ideology.

Oh good, we’ve traded biological determinism with political determinism?

Individualism, where art thou?

If they are using the word “creative” as a euphemism for larcenous, deceitful, corrupt, thieving, and dishonest...yes, they are.

“which asserts that conservatives are less creative than liberals”

Liberals have one fatal flaw, they believe that creativity and innovation can be used for change regardless of existing facts or opposing realities. This will ALWAYS lead to failure at some point.

Liberals create art like a crucifix in a glass of urine.

Conservatives create art like bridges and skyscrapers.

The reasons that this will not happen.

1. I am a Classical Liberal. I am Republican. As are all other Classical Liberals.
2. The liberal mantra for Unity is not a recipe for individualism, but a recipe for lemming like behavior.
3. The claim that liberals are more creative is not supported by the data. We have Republicans who wish to race space ships on their own dime. How’s that for creativity?
4. Most people who actually do read the classics end up Republican. With the exception of homosexuality in the greek elite, they were exceptionally Republican. Read Marcus Aurelius (Roman)if you want to know the Republican party better.
5. The call for an end to anti-intellectualism will fall on deaf ears. The leadership of the intellectual elite is a pernicous attribute of the left wing and has its roots in the revolutions of the 18th and 19th centuries.
6. Why would you want liberal arts leadership (the elite) in the digital age? This is the 21st century, for God’s sake, get with the program.

From the Kaufman article: “...trauma or family conflict in childhood can be a major driving force for creativity. So can discontent with the established order. This study suggests that this driving force may be missing in conservatives.”

So, conservatives are from more stable backgrounds and are generally more content? And this is a bad thing?

Liberals are creative when it comes to figuring out how to ‘get around’ doing what’s right and honorable. They are creative when it comes to deviancy.

Conservatives are truly creative when it comes to being productive and purposeful as human beings.

Let's take at the "creativity" of what it takes to get a Hollywood movie produced today.

1. The gay couple are the good guys. Any singular gays are also good even if they infected a hundred people with AIDS.
2. Any woman not promoting abortion is a mindless drone who is being abused by her husband. She'll either be killed by the husband or liberated by the husband being killed by the end of the movie/tv show.
3. Any minority saying anything that would be racist had a white guy said it, is perfectly acceptable. In fact, such statements are there to make it "controversial", "edgy" and "hilarious".
4. One of the heroes of the movie/show will be the kid that you'd normally think of as a loud mouth brat but is instead considered "unique" or "iconoclastic". The kid will have an incredible insight or even "shining" that will help solve whatever problem comes up. Which is really remarkable since mostly what the kid does is mouth off to adults and play video games.
5. The military guy is the enemy. Unless of course he has deserted his duty. In which case he'll sacrifice his life to prevent the real bad guy from winning and prove he isn't a coward.
6. The conservative white guy. The real enemy since the military guy is just a dupe. He'd let his best friends, wife, and daughter be raped by Satan/international corporation for just a little more power. He's definitely killed because such people can never be converted back to good liberalism.

Well, that about sums up liberal creativity. If Stephen King is reading this, he must think I'm looking over his shoulder while he's writing his next novel.
