GOP Internal Polls (NJ, CA, MI, PA) Show Possible Landslide for McCain
The Patriot Room ^ | November 1, 2008 | Bill Dupray

Posted on 11/01/2008 8:11:30 AM PDT by Bill Dupray

The host here is talking to a guy who seems to be connected to some of the GOP bigwigs, who give him internal polling numbers. The audio link is abysmally slow. If this is accurate, and I cannot vouch for it, but it sounds like it might be, we could be in for a really great night of schadenfreude on Tuesday, watching the Chernobyl meltdown on MSNBC.

I actually think a McCain win of 299-239 is about his best possible

You too? That's my prediction for right now, McCain takes NH and PA, while losing IA and NM. He'd hit 300 EV if he did these and also took ME-2.

I’ve seen several stories regarding abandoned houses there. Maybe the demographics have changed enough to let the rest of the state prevail.

Granddaughter who is in real estate told me a couple years ago she could me a house for $5. But I might not want to live there.

This is a day old, and it's from "Carl in Columbus," who calls the Quinn and Rose Show claiming to have inside knowledge.

I don't believe these, but you never know. If WHITE Dems vote in large numbers for McCain, it's over.

I admit, it seems almost impossiblee that McCain could be anything but double digit down in California. But I must say, there is one thing that's bothering me.

Polls show Prop. 8 doing fairly well. It strains credulity to believe a large number of people are going to turn out to vote against gay marriage, but then turn around and vote for Obama who will federalize it.

Just a thought.

I don't need a landslide. I'll settle for a two-state margin of victory to keep it out of the courts.

Hell, I'm not sure that I'd want McCain to have the swelled head and ego that would accompany a landslide win, although he could help cow the Democrats with talk of a "mandate".

oh, who the hell am I kidding? Nothing will "cow the Democrats".

Landslide all the way for Mccain or Obama the election will not be decided by a couple of states or one state I believe it will be all about Undecided ,Race , Hillary votes ,The buzz has been if Mccain wins its because of the race card. Obama not getting the white vote.I hope Mccain wins.

Complete and utter garbage, possibly an indication of the hopeless situation we find ourselves that we have to invent such fantastic fairy tales to feel good.

The Obama Psyops team has several operations. One is the “we’re ahead by so much you have no chance operation”. One is the “distract with phony stories to keep focus off the real dirt”. Another is to plant overly optimistic stories supposedly gleaned from “insiders”. This is an example of the last kind. Dupray has been falling for all of these recently.

do you mean Obama's team is purposely planting stories about a McCain landslide? i don't buy that... that would be one of the stupidest things they could do... hinting at a McCain landslide does not suppress the vote... it's more likely to energize the GOP... more likely to get the GOP out to vote... especially when the media is pouring doom and gloom on McCain...

I have felt all along that McCain can win just because he has consistently polled well here in Missouri. That almost always means a win for the person who wins this state. We have chosen the president in 26 out of the last 27 elections. (Since 1904)

But being close in California, and New Jersey would be unbelievable.

Those abandoned houses, I’ll bet, are still being “occupied” by tons of ACORN and Grass Roots recruited voters (as are vacant lots, cemetaries, etc.)

Yes, stories that McCain is going to win in NJ, for example. When it comes out that McCain is losing NJ handily on election day, that will dispirit his voters.

The truth is that is will be close, down to the wire, and will depend in large part on the GOP getting out and voting in heavy numbers. Any message that states otherwise interferes with the GOP's interest.

I just posted an article about my experience as Sarah Palin- and how it bodes well for the McCain/Palin ticket.

If Prop 8 is ahead in the polls indicating a high conservative turnout we could win CA.

Keep in mind we recently elected a Republican Governor.

Maggie, your sense of humor (”Stop me before I post again”) is much appreciated by at least one Freeper both terrified by Obama and just plain weary of the election. When we win we’ll really have a good laugh (e.g.: Olbermann and Matthews imploding on MSNBC, the NYT newsroom resembling Jonestown, Campbell Brown reduced to blubbering Jello).
