Prayers for Joseph, his doctors and your family.
To all of you, THANK YOU for your prayers, too many to list right now....THANK YOU!
My wife is recovering nicely from the surgery. She is moving slow but at about 70% now.
Joey is recovering from his third surgery. First was to detach is esophogus from the tracea and reattach it to his stomach, and put in a colostomy port because he was born with a non-perforated anus, and put in a feeding port into his stomach. The second surgery was to put the shunt it and his little head has lost the pressure and has been draining. My wife describes his head as looking like a raisin. The pressure is off and it is draining and will hopefully return to approximate proper shape and size. The third surgery, Wednesday morning was to pull the feeding tube out of his colon (they thought they had it in his stomach) and place it in the stomach. No spillage of waste was made into the abdominal cavity that we can tell, thank the Lord!
So, he continues to get better and we hope to have him off the ventalator before the weekend is out if he keeps improving! :) Thank you all sooooo much! Will post a pick or two in a few days...
Love to all you posters and non-posters,
Mike, Anne and Joey!
