McCain or Palin? LOL makes a difference.
I went two hours early to a Palin event and barely made it to SRO status.
just go as early as you can.
Correction: I met to say “go to” not “be to”. Thanks to anyone for their advice in advance.
A report after the rally would be great.. Go early and get a good slot. A couple of hours at least.
Washington Pa, two hours early, bring a pillow, bottles of water, time will go by quickly, talking to all the enthusiastic well mannered people you will meet.
Depends on whether Sarah will be there.
If so, get there 3 - 4 hours early.
I went to the event in Carson, CA Saturday. It was a blast.
Got to see Sarah from about 20 feet away. She is the real deal
Noon! And wear Depends!
Can you pick me up three tickets! Our office said they had them and then didn’t. ;0(
I saw John and Sarah in Colo Spgs right after the convention. I went 2 hours early and barely got in...It was a total blast though.
Go early as you can! Take lots of pics and let us know how you make out!
Go Mavericks!
Get there at least a week early. Bring a sleeping bag.
McCain-couple of hours early.
Palin-you should have been there yesterday.
LOL!
Find out what time the gates open for the event... and be there at least 30-45 minutes before then and stand in line.
I went to the Palin Rally in Carson, CA on Saturday... gates opened at 11:30... which is when I got there... the line was already snaked 1/2 around the soccer stadium.
If it’s just McCain, don’t worry. They’re will be plenty of good seats. If it’s Palin, bring a sleeping bag and get there mucho early.
I showed up three hours early and could not even see the stage...in Minnesota.
Cheers!
How was it? Where are the pics? ;0)
We went to the McCain/Palin rally in Fairfax, VA. Because of parking constraints, they provided buses from a nearby shopping center. We waited in line there for an hour for the bus. Took only 10 minutes to get thru security and we were there an hour early.
There are a few complications that may vary from venue to venue. We were told at the bus line not to bring purses, chairs, signs or water bottles. The campaign provided water. So some people had to walk back to their cars to rid themselves of those items. When we got to the rally, others had purses and signs. Go figure. Others parked a walkable distance from the site, and that may have been the wiser choice, but traffic was pretty bad.
Be sure to wear a hat/cap .. some kind of head cover. If you want to be near the stage (assuming an outdoor event) you will have to stand in the sun (hopefully) for a long time. In my case, I can’t take the sun and found a tree on a hill that provided a fine view but more important, shade.
Have fun and DO let us know how it went for you.
