If the polling represents a scientific and random random sampling and the undecideds aren't shrinking, are we to believe these "shifts" are a bunch of morons who just keep changing their minds?

And...

The daily polls are yesterday's news. With all the wild fluctuations and wilder soundbites (patriotic to pay more tax), these polls are worthless.

Pay attention, class. Here’s where we move from the manic phase (”McCain in a landslide! Woohoo!!”) to the depressive phase (excessive handwringing and agonized wails) of political bipolar disorder (PBD).

None of either from me. This race is close close close. But I do think Palin gave McCain his bounce and now the relentless attacks on her have taken it away. If anyone leaves FR or Fox News for just one minue, every other corner of media has nothing but slams on her in every which way - personal and political. If you didn’t know better you’d think McCain picked Satan himself (herself?) for VP. And many people do not know better.

Why is “Oh” in the headline? I thought this was an Ohio poll when I first opened it.

This shows how effective the mud-slinging from the Democratic Party ATTACK MACHINE can be!!

The ATTACK MACHINE has been slinging mud daily at Gov. Palin, as they clearly understand,,,,

that if you sling ENOUGH MUD,,,

some of that mud WILL stick,,,

and the mud that DOES stick,,,

is very, very, VERY hard to remove!!

Expect the democratic ATTACK MACHINE (with the willing assistance of the MSM) to increase its personal attacks even more (Chicago-style with the ruthless Hussein) as the election nears.

Then I'm going to have to ask you to leave until after the election. Too many of you and you'll smooth out our peaks and valleys!! :-)

Polls and Statistics. 80% of statistics are made up on the spot 50% of the time.

McCain and Palin are quite a pair doing a townhall meeting and challenging Obama to come on down and join them. I watched last night’s Grand Rapids meeting on video and they really work well together. John, of course, has been doing this for years and last night was the first one for Sarah. Talk about a quick study and oh so comfortable with the format.

But, as said above, we’re fighting both the media and Obama’s lying ads and thugs (ACORN). One thing that will help is Democrats (Lynn Rothschild and other PUMA’s) and Trump coming over to McCain. If this hopeful trend continues, McCain may carry the eastern battleground states.

The Bradley Effect has not been figured in. LOL!!!

The Bradely effect may be less of factor than it used to be. In Massachusetts, Deval Patrick won the Governor's race with numbers higher than the pre-election polls showed. And MA is the ultimate guilty white liberal moonbat state. The Bradley effect refers to a race in CA a long time ago and may not be a significant factor anymore.

Polls are a snapshot in time.

On Nov. 4th, people will have to walk into a booth and pick one of two men. It becomes a gut check. Does anybody really think that a majority of Americans will vote for Barak Obama?

Not likely. Just make sure that you vote and encourage other Republicans and America loving people to turn out and McCain will win.

For results based on this sample of 2,815 registered voters, the maximum margin of sampling error is ±2 percentage points.

MOE is +/- 2. It's a dead heat among registered voters.

It's a dead heat among registered voters.

Notice -- not among likely voters. Also what is the weight they are giving Republicans vs Dems.?

Obama is pulling even or ahead of McCain in the polling after this weekend's scary meltdown in the financial sector. The democrats may have pushed through the legislation that lead to this mess but it happened during a republican administration. People are genuinely hurt by this and disappointed that a republican administration whose strong suit is supposed to be managing the economy let us down.

Palin breathed life into McCain's campaign by getting conservatives excited. Statistically, the candidates are now running neck and neck. As Dick Morris said, the debates will likely be the deciding factor.

I agree about the debates, and based on what I saw at Warren’s forum, McCain will win them handily.

Maybe so, but this is a national election. I see a lot of strange things going on once that curtain is pulled in the voting booth.
